Bowtech Realm X vs Revolt X #archery

Hi. Im in the market soon for a new compound bow to upgrade from my 2007 bowtech guardian (currently set on 63 pounds 29.5 inch draw). I have been leaning towards the realm x due to being almost identical in a to a and brace height to the guardian but obviously better in every other way and maybe a 70 pound wound down to 63 pounds and have some head room as opposed to a 60 pound maxed out. Then fast forward to today with the new revolt x with the new cam system but slower speeds and ever so slight smaller a to a. From what reviews i have seen of the realm x, it seems to be very close or faster than advertised ibo whereas the revolt x seems to be coming up a bit less than advertised ibo when compared with the same arrow and draw weights (some youtube reviewers have done both bows in seperate videos).

For those who have shot both or own either/both bows (also maybe also an sr6 as it is also on my radar), what one would you purchase and or keep if you were buying and why. I do have access to a bowpress and i do own a synnum portable press that i currently use on my guardian and allegiance so the ability to not need a press is not major.

I do have concern about cam lean on the new cam system. How is it adjusted other than by moving the cam either way, and is this not meant to be for centershot and not lean? I have no ability to adjust lean on either my allegiance or guardian where the realm x has yokes for this.

Sorry for the long post. Prices in my part of the world are not as good as the usa so i want to make an informed decision. For comparison a realm x costs $ 1639 aud and the the revolt x costs $ 1839 aud.

Thanks for any replys and information.

Traverse vs Realm X #archery

Who else has pitted these two fine bows against one another?
I’ve had my Traverse for a week or so. I have yet to even experiment with a stabilizer, but I’m shooting this bow very well.
It personifies the buzz words “dead” and “quiet”.
Add to that a butter smooth, easy draw and it’s simply fun to shoot. That and you can pick it up and continue right where you left off, makes it special.
Now the X is due next week, shipped yesterday.
I’ve only spent time with it in comfort mode~it’s sweet.
The bow is a looker too, none of the Mathews bulkiness, kind of sexy.
I’m excited to see how this plays out, my first head-to-head comparison.
The down side to the Traverse winning out is the ridiculously low prices X’s are bringing now, surely because of the Reckoning.
Best to keep both!

Realm X comfort setting vs. SR6 performance setting? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m not going to be able to get anywhere to shoot these two bows for the next couple of weeks and was curious if anyone has done any comparisons on the draw of the Realm X on the comfort setting versus the Realm SR6 on performance?

Let me state up front that if I would get the SR6 it would be a 50 pounder and the X would be a 60 pounder. What I’m mainly interested in hearing is how these two setups would compare in smoothness of draw and valley. I really dislike draw cycles that have a ‘hump’ before they hit the valley. For me it should be a smooth pull from peak weight into the valley.

Also, would anyone have any idea as to which setup would be faster (50lb SR6 perf. or 60lb X comfort)?

Bowtech Realm yolk tuning problem #archery

Whats the trick to keep the yolk legs from twisting around each other. I always thought I twist yolk legs is the opposite direction as the cable and they won’t twist. I have about 2 full twists on the bottom and 3 on top. Thank you!

My issue with my Realm X #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Ok, this is not a complaint about the bow, as far as I’m concerned this thing is perfect….minus 1 thing! I’m having the grip issue a lot of other bowtech shooters have talked about on here. My knuckle on my left hand is rubbing the riser and after close to 75 shots today (first serious shooting session) it is sore and raw. I’m not keen on any real modification but open to suggestions. I’ve thought about a thin fingerless glove on that hand or just sticking mole skin on that knuckle when it’s going to be an extended shooting session like today. Hopefully someone will design a different aftermarket grip or silicon cover soon. My bow is set up with the hha ol-5519 sight, smackdown pro rest, & TR 12” static stab and is quiet but could benefit from limb dampeners as we tested it out with and without a set of bowjax and there was a slight, yet noticeable, difference.

How wide are the Realm series limbs? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Anyone know what the measured width of the limbs on the Realms is? Just curious the limbs on my Reign 6 are 3/4 inch wide each and I’d like to know how others compare. I know Hoyt advertised their new bows have 3/4 inch wide limbs which are supposed to be wider than their past bows.
