Bow Weight Performance #archery

Question: Do you feel that a bow performs better at it’s peak weight better than backed off?

If your bow is set at 50# but it peaks cranked down at 60#, with all else being equal (gpp arrows, etc), do you think the bow performs better at peak weight (less vibration, etc, etc)?

Realm X comfort setting vs. SR6 performance setting? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m not going to be able to get anywhere to shoot these two bows for the next couple of weeks and was curious if anyone has done any comparisons on the draw of the Realm X on the comfort setting versus the Realm SR6 on performance?

Let me state up front that if I would get the SR6 it would be a 50 pounder and the X would be a 60 pounder. What I’m mainly interested in hearing is how these two setups would compare in smoothness of draw and valley. I really dislike draw cycles that have a ‘hump’ before they hit the valley. For me it should be a smooth pull from peak weight into the valley.

Also, would anyone have any idea as to which setup would be faster (50lb SR6 perf. or 60lb X comfort)?

I had recently purchased 2 packs of Serrazors in 125 grain from Amazon, along with some replacement blades. Was disassembling them for sharpening/cleaning and noticed that certain blades wouldn’t fit correctly into specific ferrules. I was pretty confused so for giggles I broke out the grain scale and weighed each head with an average of 130-140 grains! Time for a phone call. Left a message as it was after hours. I get a call back from Mike, the owner, right away! Turns out I ended up with some of the first run of Serrazors that used a steel blade retainer vs aluminum. That is why everything was so different and blades weren’t fitting correctly. Sent the heads back to Mike and within a week I had Two new packs of heads and replacement blades! I stressed to Mike that I needed them to be returned back to me as soon as possible because it’s hunting season and not to mention I have a bunch of hogs I need to take care of. Well yesterday I get them in the mail and screw them onto my arrows then hit the woods after a quick spin test which was perfect.
I just want to give Mike a huge thank you and a shout out to an excellent company That makes an excellent product. Shot this hog last night at 20 yards with a medium weight solocam setup. Shot was high, but a clean pass-through through the spine! Talk about penetration!

RPM 360 Performance #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

My bow, set up essentially out of the box is shooting 311, which is a bit below what I would expect. I’ve read others reporting slow speeds with the RPM, but was wondering if I can expect a speed increase with paper tuning.
If there are any other performance upgrades I can make to eek out a little more speed, feel free to share.

Setup is as follows
29" draw
~70lb draw weight (scale at one shop said 68, another said 71 )
423 grain arrow
Tubeless peep and string loop
…hitting 311.

Camo Polar Fleece limb sleeve covers affect limb performance?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I have always used camouflage polar fleece limb sleeve covers because I didn’t want to paint my limbs. Do any of you feel these sleeves can affect the limb performance? It sure helps quiet the bow.
