I have a 2015 dominator pro model I’m looking to make into an MD model. I could use a hand finding string and cable lengths as well as the correct limb numbers for it to max at 60lbs. I’m a 29 draw as well but would like it to go to 30" if possible. Thank you for any help you can give!!!!

Building the most consistent arrows #archery

I know there is a lot of hype on this forum about spine indexed arrows. I have posted before about indexing your arrows to the spine and how it is NOT necessarily the most consistent setup. In fact your nocks and bushings along with how concentric the back of your arrow is has far more influence on your arrows POI. Now when I built my indoor arrows I went through and measured the inside of the arrow on both ends to find the most concentric end. I then cut 1" of the worst end and started cutting the best end down .5" at a time until the shaft was within .0015" or I got to my desired shaft length. If I was within .0015" then I cut the rest of the length of the other side. The goal for this was to have my nock end be on the straightest side of the arrow. After that I tested each shaft for the spine and marked the stiff side. Before gluing in bushings and points I used the G5 arrow squaring tool and squared both ends of my arrows.

I have shot these arrows al year and felt like maybe I did not need to go any farther. Well today I decided I was going to test my arrows with the hooter shooter. Although I was not completely surprised by the results, I was surprised at how inconsistent my arrows grouped when rotating my nocks. I was using a spot hogg hooter shooter auto draw and have found it to be substantially more consistent that the original auto draw and feel my results are very accurate. After rotating all 6 of my arrows into all 3 positions I got a triangle shaped group(to be expected) but to my surprise the group was 1.90" wide by 1.45" tall measuring outside to outside. After I finished group tuning I was able to get 5 of the 6 arrows to land in the same hole and one to hit slightly high right. If you would like me to write up my steps on how to do this I can. Afterwards I went back and retested my spine and found that 3 of my arrows had the stiff side to the left, 2 had the stiff side to the right and the one that I couldn’t quite get perfect had the stiff side up.

So bottom line here is if your components and the ends of your arrow are perfect(almost none are) then the spine aligned arrows will in fact group better. But the only way to truly get them shooting the most consistent is to tune them through a shooting machine. Also my arrows are rated as a .001" straightness for anyone wondering.

You’ve got a couple basic principles and most of this comes down to stress physiology they’re trying to build muscle what you’re trying to do is send a message to your body that the amount of muscle currently have is inadequate to meet the man said to environment displacing out and we do that by exposing your muscles to a stress tension that is greater than what they’re accustomed to during day-to-day activity 1285 muscle we’re trying to say the body this a lot of muscles inadequate to dote job that it has to do and he talked about intensity the odd difficulty level and mentioned going to failure earlier if you’re working your muscles against the level of resistance working and I guess uh… something that is not so difficult something that they’re accustomed to you’re not sending a message to your body that it needs to produce an adaptation if it is straps.

Building a Traditional Longbow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

This is my first post, sorry if it’s posted in the wrong section haha, but basically, I was wondering who here has experience with making traditional longbows? I’m sure most of you do, but who would be willing to give me instructions on how to? I’d like to pick up building longbows as a hobby, and what better place to learn than from a community of fellow archers?
