Third Hand Archery Products Review

Let me preface this review by stating that I have absolutely no affiliation with Third Hand Archery products. I got my hands on some of their products and wanted to give an honest review. My second post, along with pictures from the stand, will be of how they actually performed in the field.

The products I received and have used from Third Hand –

Stabilizing straps
Universal bow holder
Accessory Belt
Treestand treads

I have an original Summit Viper that is over 10 years old now and have seen a bunch of threads over the last couple of years of people modding their stands for comfort. I purchased the Molle shoulder strap system and kidney belt for transporting the stand and, combined with the Third Hand products, that’s made a world of a difference. (see below)

I then utilized the items from Third Hand Man to include the stabilizing straps, bow holder and treestand treads. I installed all three and the Viper began to take shape.

The stock Summit seat was always a challenge for me and I was contemplating replacing it. It was always in the way when I climbed up and down the tree and really was a pain in the rear. So, before I went and ordered a Hazmore, I decided to try and finagel a quick release system for the stock seat since you couldn’t beat the comfort of it. I used quick release clips and weaved paracord through the straps to hold the quick release clips in place and to hold my weight. Sure enough, it worked.

This game me the opportunity to quickly attach and detach the seat in seconds and be able to transport it much easier by securing it and my pack to the back of the stand using the stabilizing straps.

The bow holder was easy to install. Simply remove the screws and nuts, place it on the rail in the positioning you want it and install the screws and nuts once again. With everything installed and ready to go, I was eager to hit the woods.
