If you had $1k to spend on sitka gear for hunting whitetails in KS……..

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have a budget of $ 1000ish (I get the 40% off so its really a $ 600 budget, but for the sake of keeping it simple I will just say $ 1k at retail pricing). I am not going to worry about tax and shipping. I have decided on Sitka so please only opinions on that. I don’t need base layers, but am trying to figure out the best combinations for 20-50 degrees. My thoughts so far are…….

I really really like the fanatic jacket or vest so I thought…..

1. Fanatic Jacket ($ 389) and bibs ($ 369) and have enough left over for hats, gloves, baclava, etc (use the base layers and insulation I have now). (On this set up, I was concerned with being to warm in the 40-50 degree range)

2. Stratus Jacket($ 289) and bibs ($ 269) with kelvin jacket ($ 229) and pants ($ 189). (On this set up I was concerned with being a little too bulky)

3. Stratus jacket($ 289) and bibs ($ 269) with fanatic vest ($ 199) with a traverse top ($ 129) and bottom ($ 89) . (On this setup I was only concerned with my arms getting cold)

4. Let me know what your combinations are. I am 6ft 180 pounds, 34 inch waist. Looking at getting Large sizes for pretty much anything.

I am leaning towards option 3 for versatility and I can incorporate the fanatic vest, but am open to all suggestions.
