Nitrum Turbo and Fury Strings and Cable

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Would like to know from those using Fury on their Nitrum’s what strand count is everyone finding to be optimum. My Turbo is #3 cam in the B slot shooting 61#. DL is around 28.75".

Also, if one would want to increase holding weight say from 75%-65% what needs to be done? Appreciate all insight on these questions.

Thanks much!

Nitrum Turbo measurements help

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hi AT,

I’m getting a custom bag made for my Charger, but i do plan on changing to a Nitrum Turbo sometime next year, and i’d like this custom bag to fit the nitrum as well.

If there are any Nitrum Turbo owners out there, i’d appreciate it if you could measure the bow at it’s widest, broadest and tallest.

Thanks in advance!

Spyder turbo (2013) poundage issues

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Got a spyder turbo a while back. Nice bow. Doesn’t hold worth a damn. Bought it used here so I have no idea where the strings came from or how old they are

#2 cam. 60 lb bow
Times with top cam hitting just before the bottom.
Ata is spot on
Bow maxes out at 57.6 lbs
Holding weight is 11.3
81% let off too much for me

Already replaced the center serving once.

Nitrum Turbo vs the PSE Decree; and shot the HTR

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So went out to my local pro shop at lunch and shot a couple of bows. The owner/manager is a good guy and lets me play way too much.

I saw they had a new Decree on the shelf so they put a loop and rest on and I gave it a few shots. I pulled smooth (like almost every bow in the last few years) but was stiff, very stiff. The valley to me was between the regular DNA and DNA SP. Less then my Nitrum Turbo for sure. Bow was set at 29/70 bottomed out, but not sure or exact weight, didn’t put that one on a scale. Shot a 413gr arrow at 308fps through the chrono.

Last week when I bought my new Nitrum Turbo there my 60lb turbo set at 28.5in draw shot my 424gr arrow through the same chrono at 286fps.

My 73lb Nitrum 30 shot the same 424gr arrow through the same chrono at 294-295fps.

My turbo has been tuned up and the Decree was right out of the box and this could account for some of the speed difference and maybe a bit of the lack of valley, but these were the findings. I do like how light the Decree was and the feel of the riser, just not the draw I am looking for in a hunting bow.

While there I also shot the new Mathews HTR. I really like the look of this bow. I like the riser and the look of the wheels. I prefer the older focus grip without the wood inlay, but that is a pretty small detail. The draw on the bow is what I didn’t really like. To me it felt a bit like pulling up an anchor on a fishing boat, and I am not talking about the weight. To me as you draw the bow the first half of the draw cycle feels easy but mushy. Not a good description but that is how it felt, like pulling the rope of the anchor up through water, then hitting the weight of the anchor half way through the draw cycle, where it loads up fast.

While at 60lb this was no big deal, but at 70lb I did not care for that draw. Also with this bow and it’s IBO with the 85% mods (which come on the bow and most will shoot with) you will want all the draw weigth you can handle. I know you can kill anything in North America with this bow at 60lb. But to me, and how I shoot and hunt I would want more speed then this bow would give me at 60lb, and I am far from a speed junky.

Awesome looking bow and really different then what they have been offering for sure, just not the bow for me.

Now after trying most of the 2015 bows out there I am very glad with my current setup of the Nitrum Turbo at 60lb. Feels good to draw, at 60lb the short(ish) valley is a non issue and it is quiet and points well.

Need tuning help with my faktor turbo!!!!!!

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have had my (lefty) faktor turbo for abt a month and a half, abt a week ago I decided I wanted to broadhead tune it. Well I couldn’t get the broadheads to hit closer than 5-6 inches from the field tip so I took it to my dealer. We couldnt get it to shoot a bullethole for nothing. He had to swap the top limbs around (after calling hoyt) and put a good bit of pre lean for it to shoot a bullet.

I finally get home to shoot it and the farther back I get the bigger the gap gets between my field tip and broadhead. So today I decided to try to french tune it at 3 and 9 yards to get everything lined up. Well Im having to move my rest over so far to the left I think my fletchings are touching the riser (and the string is still not split). My dealer told me this was the first faktor he has had this much trouble with. My question is, should I have this much pre lean and should my rest be that far to the left? Not doubting my dealer just came on here for some other oppinions and help. Here are some pics. ANY input will be appreciated!!!!!

*** Carbon Spyder Turbo 33″ or Carbon Spyder 34″ and why?? ***

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

1) Hoyt Carbon Spyder Turbo 33" or Carbon Spyder 34"??
2) #2 Cam or #3 cam

Why?? :confused2:

I’m sure others are/were contemplating the same thing.
I’m a 28.5" draw and as such, struggling to decide between a CST #3 cam or a CS34 #2 cam.
I will be ordering a 70-80# bow.
My order goes into to Hoyt’s system tomorrow.

Would love to hear those who have shot and/or ordered a CS and understand what helped sway their decision either way.
Decision decisions….
