I’m thinking of buying 4 Bullseye Block archery targets (nasp approved 34”/34”/11”) for my home range and want to know is anybody has experience with them? How do they hold up? For general info my son shoots a Genesis 20lbs draw weight and I shoot a PSE 70lbs draw weight.

I have two Hoyts(Defiant Turbo and HyperForce). I will have them both set up with ripcord code red rest, 5 pin MBG Ascent Verdicts, Draw Length 27" set at 68 pounds. I plan on shooting 100 grain Ironwill solid heads. Arrows will be Easton Axis 5mm 340. Question is do I use the Easton HIT inserts or the ironwill HIT inserts? Do you think I would benefit at all from using their impact collars? Or would I be better off using the Easton Axis FMJ 5mm? I plan on hunting deer and elk. Thanks.

I will rank the bow and why just my opinion and probably don’t matter to most but I like reading other’s thoughts so I will share mine.
1. Hoyt both of them but mainly the hyperforce the draw was amazing to me. Dead on the shot all bows were shot bare except the triax. I really like the hoyts .
2. Evolve I don’t even know if it was a 18 or 17 but again a great draw cycle. Dead in the hand as well really close to the hoyts.
3. Realm draw was nice but did notice a little stack towards the end of the draw cycle still dead in the hand.
4. Triax definitely my least favorite draw out of all the bows seemed the heaviest in draw and physical weight. I don’t know if it is the heaviest or just seemed that way. The bow just didn’t seem to fit me. It was very nice on the shot just didn’t seem to fit me as well as the others.
All these bows are amazing just some of my thoughts. The physical weight on the Triax could have been because of the stabilizer. I am a Hoyt guy so I may be a little bias just going to put that out there now. Never been a PSE guy but the evolved is awesome. Draw cycle and after shot feel of the Hoyt just blew me away. Would love to hear some of your thoughts about all the bows maybe you had different experiences love reading everyone’s opinion.

I’m thinking about ordering some. I have a 30" draw at 73lbs on a Bowtech 360 shooting just under 340fps. Any thoughts?

Hello,
After reseaching the archives for a few days now I’m putting together a hunting arrow for new bow. Im pretty new to building arrows. Until now I have just been buying goldtip velocities and adding a broadhead. The bows is an obsession defcon m6 28dl and I’m guessing 62lbs dw (maxed 60lbs limbs).
The arrow I’m looking at is a BE spartan with a 75gr insert and 100gr broadhead. The stats for this arrow cut at 28in would be weight 462gr, fps 277, ke 78.733, and foc of 16%. Does this sound like a good general hunting arrow for elk, deer, antelope, and maybe a black bear if it crossed my path?
I really appreciate any help, comments, and recomendations. Thanks in advance

I can’t find a Halon 5 to try and there is rarely one in the classifieds. I’m curious if it’s because it really is tougher to shoot or people are just more comfortable at 6+". I currently shoot a 6" brace but I know at my T-Rex draw of 26.5 I would benefit from the added speed. Any thoughts?

Looking to try my first set of custom strings. They’ll be going on a hoyt defiant turbo. What can I expect? and what are the differences? If anybody has any experience what seems to work the best please share. Thanks in advance.
