Quick Stand Archery Bow Stands – Many Thanks! #archery

First, thank you to the community that has supported us during our first year of "relaunching" this product. Also, thanks to Shovelhead (no longer a member here) who originally designed this product and gave us the opportunity to bring it back to market. Our bow stands do not offer a solution to all bow hunters and archers, but it does offer a viable option for many.

We are happy to say that we are getting into more and more independent Archery Pro Shops so if anyone is interested in seeing our bow stands in person prior to making a decision, just PM us here with your zip code and we will let you know if there is a Pro Shop near you to go to.

Thanks again – and we have learned a lot from this community! Kind regards to all!

Hello everyone:
I have to take the time and say Thank You To Max Thomas of Bowhunters of America. My best little buddy is 11 years old and has shown a huge interest in shooting archery this year. We plan on shooting his first ASA tournament in a few months. We are in the process of purchasing him a new Hoyt Klash with orange limbs which is his favorite color. We are set on a fixed income so getting things can be hard at times. Well Thanks to MAX THOMAS we will not have to wait for a stabilizer. He gave us a orange 8inch Bee Stinger that he said that he was not using. My little man was jumping up and down and said thank you so much. Max Thomas you made his day. If I was not apart of BOWHUNTERS OF AMERICA.. this would have not been possible. Thank you Max for looking out and making my best little buddy in the world one happy boy. I would also like to thank Shawna Martin of ARCHERY TALK & TECH group for all his help and working with me. Loving the Archery people of the world. You guys are the best. Thank you all for taking the time to read this. And yes thanks for Archery Talk We have meet some good people here.

Just had QAD send me the launcher arm that proves about 1/8 more clearance. My question is can I put on the new arm and just slightly raise my rest? Thanks for any and al input as I am learning this stuff. I believe I should be a little tail high and not level, speaking of the arrow. Thanks again yall.

First day back, thanks Double Lung Archery

So I finally got out with my new bow. PST Stinger X for those of you new to the party.

Have not shot a bow since 1990 or so but did a ton of research while I was over in Afghanistan. Here is a picture of the bow at the Fort Hood archery range.

Bought the bow from a place in Iowa called Double Lung archery. Great price and customer service. Can’t say enough about how good Steve and DLA is. Bow came paper tuned and top pin set for 20 yards. This is my best target of the day.

Well the good news is the group is great and just off the target at 20 yards. Bad news is I was aiming at the spot way over on the right lol. Not all my groups were this good but they were consistent in the same area and not to far off this one in size.

All in all a great way to spend the lunch hour. Forgot to say the range is about two minutes from my work.

Shout out to fellow AT Mr. Man. Thanks for insight. Helped save frustration o…

Have to give a shout out to Mr. Man on here. He posted on a thread about easton fmj and people having issues with the hit inserts. Fp or broadheads not screwing all way in.

I posted I bought 17/64 fp and they weren’t going in all the way. Many were saying they have had same issue, even though they also bought 17/64 as easton recommends. He suggested using acetone to clean out the tip of arrow with a Q tip.

I can say it worked like a charm!!! Thank you sir for posting that helpful info. Shout out to you. Thanks, from me,as it was getting frustrating the fp and broadheads weren’t cooperating and I had just had the arrows built.

I feel the need to say thanks to all you ‘way more knowledgeable’ Trad shooters (than I). I joined AT back in ’06 and and have spent most of my time lurking rather that contributing, but have thoroughly enjoyed and learned from your input(s). I have recently become a middle aged man (if you want to live to be 140) and have lived a hard physical life. 3 years ago I came down with (forever) pneumonia from agent orange, then my back went out on me (3 vertebra that looks like a Z) and now arthritis in both my shoulders. So, to celebrate, and because I’m so dang hardheaded, I sold my last compound and bought a recurve. She’s a beauty, TradTech 15" Black Onyx riser, short BM limbs @35lb, tunable up to about 38/39lbs for a 56" rig. I got the shorty because my wife won’t let me climb trees anymore, so I’ve bought a strap-on seat and will have to hunt from the ground and got the short bow in case I have to shoot sitting down. I’ve been a bow man since I got out of diapers and love it more now than ever (just like you guys and gals). Because of my travels, 23 years in the Navy (3 tours in Northern Eye Corps with the Marines), 3 years with the ‘company’ in Africa, 17 years in the Merchant Marine as an ET and 15 months in Iraq/Afghanistan working on the counter-electronic IED program, I shot compounds during those years when I could get home because it was convenient. Now, I’m back with the ‘real’ bows and am loving it. Ya’ll are sure helping me get back in the groove. Not sure why I told you my life story LOL, but again thanks and keep all those ‘how to and why not’ posts coming.
