Hey everyone I’ve been a Stan fan for awhile now but have noticed with my thumb release (perfex) I like how the release is thicker which separates my knuckles for better anchoring. I was looking at the too smooth and the total control they look like they have a thicker handle that would do the same thing as the perfect spreading the knuckles apart. Anyone have any experience or comparison? Or better yet other recommendations for a high end hinge?

So I just received my stan prefex, before hearing about them running small I ended up getting a large. It feels pretty snug with my bare hand but pretty comfortable, even with a thin glove on it would be a no go. So I guess my question is if it’s snug but comfortable with my bare hand should I keep it around or try to get an extra large. I honestly can’t decided what to do as nobody anyway around me carrys stan so I had no clue what it felt like.

DON’T TAKE THE EFFER APART UNLESS YOU HAVE NERVS OF STEEL!!!. Yeah, what a pain in the keister.

Firstly, the cutout for the lanyard is not a good design. Too small and too tight a bend. Thinking I would loosen the screws a little bit for better access, I turned them one turn too much and "unpositioned" a spring inside. The result was a stiff trigger that would not adjust. I have rebuilt jet engines for 20 years. I have built fuel controls with little Itty bitty parts from scratch hundreds of times. Well after putting the justx back together, I can assure you it’s no picnic.

Secondly, do not attempt this in front of sensitive ears unless you are comfortable with a six year old cursing like a drunken sailor.

Thirdly, enclose yourself in a very small, very clean and sealed area because you will send each of the 4 springs flying across the room at least 4 times each!

Lastly, what a great release! Performance is smooth as butter and undoubtedly will make me a better shooter.

Dropped my release in the mud and can’t get it cleaned out good so I want to take it apart and give it a good cleaning . does any one have and pictures of the inside.

These days, I shoot my 4 fingers Stan Element with only 2 fingers (index and middle), similarly to a Silverback.
I enjoy it and was wondering if it is possible to shorten it, which leads to my questions to you:
– Has any of you ever tried shortening an Element?
– If yes, are there any tips you could share?

Finally got to try out Vernies springy thumb bar. Pretty sweet, allows you to get more pressure on the thumb without firing. I polished it up, 7/16" dia. Anyone wanting to try one out contact EX OKIE.

Needing input on the stan shoot off .have not shot in years and still seem to have target panic. While aiming can’t seem to hold center always goes to a six o clock and can’t seem to get sight up. Thx

I’ve got a fang 3 on the way just wondering how close it is in size and feel to the sx2? Is the shot just as crisp?
