So I made a homemade spine tester and I’m trying to index my arrows. This is what I’m getting. What’s wrong? There’s no way these arrows are this perfect. The needle doesn’t move at all. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AdfaeAJBzX8

I’m looking to run my Halon 32/6 at 70 lbs draw weight, 27.5" long draw length and a 28.0" long 300 spine Spartan shaft (nock groove to insert). I’ll be using a 26 grain insert, and 125 gr tip. That will get me a 442 grain arrow with 13% foc……I’ll be running 2" blazers.

I ran the numbers through archersadvantageonline and it says that I’m slightly weak. Do yall think other calculators will confirm? I’m considering going to a 250 spine but the arrow weight goes close to 500 grains to get to optimum specs. I don’t know if I want to go that heavy.

What are some other arrows to consider using my bow specs with the arrow length? thanks

Reverse spine lookup?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hi all! I’m running into a problem where I have the arrows but need to look up what poundage limb will fit said arrows.

The arrows in question are cheap – Carbon Impact Super Club 30/40 (620 spine at 28") cut to 29.5"; 2.5" vanes; 80 grains tip, 7.4 gpi shaft. The bow I use is an Olympic Recurve setup, 25 inch riser (SF Forged +) with Long limbs, 70" total length.

My current shooting weight is 37# at finger, but lately I’ve been wanting to dial down the weight some and work on my form more. Hence, the cheap used arrows. What I’m having trouble with is doing a reverse look up and figure out what poundage long limbs will work best for these Super Clubs. I don’t really need them to be super dialed in since my regular set of arrows (Easton Carbon Ones) and limbs are tuned perfectly, but a ball park figure would be nice so the arrows will at least flight straight.

Thanks in advance for any info, and if this is the wrong thread to ask stuff like this please let me know, I’ll delete this asap.

Spine question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I am currently shooting Easton axis 340’s with 100 gr heads cut to 26 3/4" at 70# from my 2013 elite hunter at 27" draw. My question is this. I wanna drop back to 60-65# for indoor spots league this winter. Gonna be shooting fat boys, x-cutters or something similar. I wanna jump to 150gr tips with these arrows. With the increase in point weight and drop in draw weight will I still be good for a 340 spine? Or?

I am trying to build a heavy arrow for dangerous game. The only spine charts I can find have a maximum tip weight of 200 grains. Do you know of one that lists the spine for heavier tips?
