Shot Some Bows Today

Shot an Elite E35 A Mathews no cam HTR and A Pse Decree
The elite was really nice. I liked the draw and the let off. Very smooth and easy to hold.
The Mathews was also nice. Smooth and dead in the hand. Grip was not the greatest but ok.
The decree was good too. I liked the draw and the grip and it had a little vibration on the shot but nothing too bad.
If I had to choose between the three and was buying today I would take the decree. The speed and the draw and the fact that I shoot a pse drive LT and am used to the grip and the let off and can drill with the drive.
All 3 bows are nice and you couldnt go wrong with any of them.

Question about target sights “loading up”…Would like to hear some insight

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So over the last few months I have had a issue that has bugged the heck out of me. First it started with a CBE elite target, I will explain what the deal is. For instance you walk in to the range and notice your shooting low, so you start cranking the sight down click by click. After a few turns of the knob you are now what I will called "loaded" in the downward direction. The screw is advanced and will move down with every click. HERE IS THE PROBLEM: now you have gone too far and your shooting high, you decide to come back a click or two. As you turn the knob it can move as much as 5 clicks and the scope doesn’t move, because the worm screw hasn’t "loaded" now in the upward direction. Just for kicks you go two clicks back up the rail (or down in yardage) you now have two clicks of play in either direction you can move and the scope doesn’t respond because it isn’t "loaded" in either way. Fast forward a couple months, I said to myself "CBE junk!" and bought a shibuya. Low and behold! It does the same freaking thing with less clicks the shibuya is exactly four clicks once "loaded" in one direction to move in the opposite direction. ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE? TWEAKS THAT CAN BE MADE? SIGHTS THAT DONT DO THIS?

Woah back in action need some thoughts

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Howdy everybody, as I was walking the woods today looking for a good spot for a late season bait pile, I was relatively close to one of my hang ons. I figured, I might as well go check it out and see if there’s anything new. For background info, I set this up stand up over a small scrape in early November. When I came upon the stand, the same scrape from over a month ago has nearly tripled in size! There were fresh hoof scrapes in it, I’m guessing from this morning. Now here’s the thing, I’m still in high school so I can’t make an AM sit until the weekend. I’ll be out there tomorrow night. My question is, how long will a deer/s use the same scrape? I’m hoping it doesn’t go dry. This is probably a silly thread but I’m excited that the site is still active and wanted to hear some thoughts.

Hoyt Horizon 25″ riser & Shibuya DX plunger that won’t thread in–need some help

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hey guys, fairly new to archery. For my first riser I chose a Hoyt Horizon from Lancaster Archery with a Sebastian Flute Ultimate Rest. Have been shooting bare-bow and I finally got to the point where I was looking to get a sight and plunger, and so went through Lancaster again and picked up a Shibuya Dual-Click and DX. Now I find this riser doesn’t want to accept the plunger?! I thought this would have been a fairly common setup, but the plunger has trouble starting to thread in and when it finally does, it only goes in a few threads before getting stuck. Is there some sizing issue that I wasn’t aware of? My Hoyt didn’t have anything in the manual about the thread pitch on the two mount holes so I assumed that everything would match right up.

Has anyone else used a Horizon and Shibuya DX together before? Should I contact Hoyt directly or Lancaster next?

EDIT:

I just found a review on Lancaster that I hadn’t caught before I bought it:

Quote:

"Good for the price but …. Review by Edwin

Ordered the Black Out and I’m impressed by the looks. I tried attaching my long
rod after cleaning the stab bushing with compressed air and it would not go in. The start thread just won’t bite bite unless you apply pressure. Once in, it’s very hard to turn. I was afraid it might strip the thread of my long rod so I decided to take it to a nearby archery store where they re-tapped it. Turned out it was not tapped properly. I think it would not cost quality control another minute to make sure all the holes are properly tapped. I know this is not a high end riser but this is where neubies like me start to develop brand loyalty so a little care in inspection will go a long way."

Uh Oh.

Cam timing issues… need some advice/help please

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Ok i am in the process of trying to get my cams in time on a diamond infinite edge. I have the cams in time now but the cables have quite a bit more tension on them than they did when i started due to having to twist them. My problem is that it is putting a bit too much pressure on the cable slide and it is causing it to grip it and drag across the slide making a bit of noise and making for a not so smooth draw. Should i try and rleave equal amounts of twist in each cable until it relieves enough pressure to stop the drag or how should i approach this to keep my cams in time but eliminate the drag on the cable slide. thanks in advance to any and all help.
