Having trouble setting up and taking down Double Bull Bullpen blind #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hello fellow hunters,
Was wondering if any of you guys have had problems setting up or taking down your DB Bullpen blind. Im pretty familiar with the Double Bull setup as my Dad has an older Primos DB. Ive even got to point of looking at you tube videos of setup/takedown(raised hunting)ect… For whatever reason my blind doesn’t want to seem to collapse like it should. I’ve used it twice for turkey hunting this year so it’s been out in the elements to stretch/break in. Went to air it out clean up some of the mud on the inside of the blind yesterday and found that one of the rods popped out of the roof hub. Just wondering if it’s me or what because I feel like every time I set it up or take it down I’m going to break something. Thanks Ben Ellerman

Need Advice Setting up Youth Carbon Defiant #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

My 12 year old daughter has become quite competitive at indoor and outdoor target archery so we bought her a Carbon Defiant 34, most other target bows were too heavy or missing features we desired. My question though is with all the accessories. Can’t afford to buy a 2nd bow for her so I’m curious how we can set this bow up for target, 3d and some hunting. I don’t shoot target personally but I keep reading about lizard tongue rests, sights scopes or magnifiers and peeps with verifiers. Not to mention stabs that are a mile long, haha. So am I going down wrong road trying to use bow for all the above? Or are there some really solid rests and sights that can be used for all. Hopefully someone can help me understand what type of rests, sights, peeps are used in target and if any can be used across the board.. We are trying to make sure she is setup good as possible.

Thanks

Setting Up Bitz #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’m doing a 3 degree right helical 3 vein. First time I’ll be fletching my own arrows.

Does someone have a better description on where the screws and knobs should be set than the instructions that came with it?

Thanks!

Staying in Shooting Shape and Setting up a String Bow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I posted up my 17th video today in my Tuesday’s Tip of The Week series. This one is about staying in shooting shape with release execution and the mental side of your shot. I also go over building a string bow with how to get the correct measurements for the length you’ll need.

Setting ILF tiller? New bow!

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So, you guys were great helping with my bare shaft tuning, I thought I’d throw another punch..

I got my new bow end of last week.. Its a Hoyt Excel 23" with medium Axiom+ limbs.. The search function brought me to pic this pair for a good practice bow.. But, I like it so much I may never touch the Samick Sage again.. It shoots a lot better for me.. I’ve put a few hundred arrows through it so far and is really a step forward in equipment..

Anyhow, I want to be sure I’ve got this tiller thing down.. Of course the riser had no instructions so I set it up the best I could going off what I found in the search function here on the forum.. But I have a specific question or two. First, I carefully set the limb bolts to full in then backed them out 2 full turns and attached the limbs. I marked the limbs 3"s from the riser on each one.. then measured to the string.. The bottom limb is FURTHER from the string by 1/8th inch … Is this considered – tiller or +tiller? And is this the correct way to measure from the string to the limb?

Next, if anybody has the 23" Excel can you confirm for me that about 8 3/4" brace height sounds good. This is about where is quiets the bow. Seems to high to me when comparing to my Samick. Also how many turns out on the limb bolts are safe?

I shoot 3under and I put a NAP Flipper Center Rest on the bow (which is great btw) So where should I set tiller… For now I have it at 0 since I had no Idea how it was actually measured. I had heard 1/8+ is good but didn’t know which direction that was…

Thanks again, Al

Please help me check on my post setting and twist rate.

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Just out of curiosity if you were going to make a string that is 58 9/32" and a buss cable that is 34 5/16" what would you set your jig length at and how many twist would you put in each? This is 452X and 24 strands. I want to see if your formula matches mine. Thanks in advance.
