PVC bow rest height

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’m making a couple of PVC bows for bowfishing and was wondering where the rest should be located. Is it best for the arrow to go through the center of the bow? Or would it be better if the top of my hand, where the most pressure on the grip is, was at the center of the bow? The second would make the bow more balanced when drawing I assume. From a physics standpoint the first we seems right though. Does the arrow usually pass through the center of the bow on compounds, longbows and recurves because that would probably answer my question also? Thanks

Martin Springy Arrow Rest

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have a old Martin Cougar II and love it. I really got use to the springy rest that was on it and am now in need of a new one. I looked all over and it looks like they are discontinued and impossible to find. The only one I could find was a company in Australia and they do not ship outside the country. Anyone happen to have seen these things anywhere or know where I could find one?

I am in the process of trying to make my own out of a Saxophone spring and a bolt from the hardware store. I will post some pictures when I am done, but any help finding one would be much appreciated.

Will NAP Apache Carbon rest fit on Mathews MQ1?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I posted a thread yesterday asking about the durability of the NAP Apache Carbon rest.
People seem to love it. The only issue people have had is the rest doesn’t have
enough vertical adjustment on some bows. I have to order it online but before I do I want to make sure it will work on my bow.
Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks, Jim

Footrest are great for long sits. Who makes the best footrest for climbing stands and what makes theirs better than the others. How much do they cost? how much do they weigh? Pictures or links to their site would be nice.

help setting up a target bow… stabs, sight, rest, ect…

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I reciently picked up a nice Elite Tour here in the classifides. I want to set it up as more of a target bow. I haven’t decided if I want it set up strictly for spots or if I would like to shoot 3D with it as well. I was leaning towards a Spot Hogg Hogg Father single pin adjustable sight with a wrap… But I’m open to suggestions. I am a bit of a spot Hogg fanboy though. I have never owned a stab longer than 10" so that is where I will need the most help. I want a setup that I can easily transport. I feel like a fish out of water because I usually kinda look at carter bows and think the long stabs are a little overkill… Help me out
Thanks
