Sweat Corroding Parts on Release?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

My Scott Longhorn is starting to show signs of corrosion from sweat as I’ve been shooting this summer. I had to send a Like Mike in for warranty repair cause sweat rusted out some of the parts.

Anyone start to see release parts corroding in the summer?

Im wanting to get a release for target but i think if i like enough maybe for hunting too. Well, for the longest time I really had been thinking I was going to get the tru ball sweet spot 2. But now I’m looking into the Stan Shootoff and it looks super nice and it’s what the guy at my shop shoots with and hunts with. He recommended it to me and I was wondering what you guys think about it. How is the release. Since its thumb release is that bad, should I be going with hinge. Will it be a good release to start off with and use pretty much my whole life? It’s a lot of money so I was just asking to see what you think. Thanks.

Also I’m going to make a poll to see what you would say

Form Discussion – Release (and others)

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hey guys,

Just reading through this: http://www.kslinternationalarchery.c…Cycle-USA.html

I noticed it mentioned the string hand should basically stay in place after the string has been released. I’ve watched Jimmy Blackmon’s videos almost religiously the last while and he mentioned that the release should basically be as a result of making the "J" with the elbow, letting the string just slide off the fingers. Are they ultimately saying the same thing in a different way (since the guide goes on to talk about follow through)?

Release question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’ve bought my 13yr. old boy a PSE stinger. It’s been dropped down to about 30 lbs.. His rhomboid muscles are just starting to get developed. It took a session, until he could pull back a few dozen times.
So, the Stinger came with a True-Fire Hurricane Release, and it’s extremely difficult to pull back. Therefore, finger release is being used.

Would anybody at this point recommend a backtension release, or should he stick with fingers for now?

Question:

Any recommendations for for back tension releases? Price range $ 75-$ 100?
It’s primarily indoors for now.
