Does anyone here use both types of release with their bow, and if so, what adjustments did you make.
I use a Cobra Pro Caliper for hunting, but would like to use a Truball Absolute for 3D and target practice. However, it results in a lowr anchor point and i feel like I will need to raise the peep slightly and adjust the sights accordingly. Is that common?

i am looking to get a hinge release, and want to know what is the best one to get for a newbie. One that works well, and won’t break the bank. I don’t want to spend a great deal until I know it works for me.

I’m looking for a new release to try and cure some trigger punching. I currently use a truefire hardcore max and have noticed that I’ve started to punch the trigger alot and anticipate the shot. However, I have tried a BT and still that is the uneasiest of feelings I’ve ever had and do not like that feeling at all. So, I’m looking into getting a new release and something that could help me not punch the trigger so much and have very little muscle movement or just need just a "flick" to fire at the right moment. I don’t know whats out there that would be worth trying. Looking to you all for help.
Thanks

I just started this hobby or way of life in February and man it’s hard not to want to try new sights or releases. Obviously funds can be a factor but when do you say ok I want to try that style etc.
Do you give 6 months, swap right away or until you mastered it?

Hi all.
I started using a pull through release last summer – Stan Element – and moved to a the Tru Ball BT Gold late in the winter. Blank baling with both I then moved to targets and achieved a level of accuracy that I had never seen before. I was shooting very well and consistently between 20 and 30 yds. And I mean really well compared to my former scores.
That 40 yard target was calling me again and again, lol, but I held on at 30 max until I was very confident.
My confidence fell through the floor yesterday. Yea, I listened to the siren’s call and warmed up then moved to 40 yds. After a long afternoon, too long of course as my shooting time increases directly with how poorly I’m shooting, which, of course makes me tired and my shots worse, which makes me want to shoot longer to get it right, etc etc etc.
I was all over the place (even before I was tiring out that is). What I had never noticed before with a trigger release, is how much the release angle changes with increased yds as the bow angle changes. My well practiced roll + back tension was compromised. Everything felt wrong.
Any tips for this particular problem? Should I be forcing the release to stay at a parallel to the ground even when raising the angle of the bow?
I’m stumped.
TIA
All blessings
