Chasing arrow recommendations #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hi all,

I am looking to buy some arrows for indoor archery and a seperate set for outdoor (barebow recurve) and am chasing suggestions.
Pulling 30.5 DL
34 pound limbs wound up to a 42 pound draw inclusive of my DL.
32inch arrows as i overdraw initially then settle in at 30.5 inches.

Not on a tight budget or anything, but also don’t want to go as crazy as the Easton X10s.

Please help a fella out 🙂

Iowa outfitter recommendations!? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hey everyone!
Maybe there is a thread like this already, but i couldn’t find one. A buddy and i are getting closer to drawing a NR Iowa archery tag. We’re completely fine with paying top dollar for a quality outfitter, we want our first Iowa experience to be a great one, we’ve been saving cash for a couple years and we’re willing to find the best place to go. A place that doesn’t take 40 hunters a year, has a good deer herd and will make it a memorable trip.
SO let me hear it AT world. Who’s the best in Iowa? Who "claims" to be the best in Iowa? Pros/Cons of any outfitter? I would love any info anyone has. If you need to message me to speak freely i am open to that as well. I appreciate it and can’t wait to hear what everyone has to say! Thanks

Shooting house window recommendations #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m building some shooting houses and can’t decide what to use for windows (mostly for gun hunting). I will probably use Lexan or plexi for the vertical bow windows by can’t decide between vinyl hung windows, lexan on hinges, sliding lexan, etc. for the gun windows.

What window set ups do you guys have that you would recommend or that you would avoid?

Thanks!

Any recommendations from the classifieds? #archery

I’m a leftie and have nearly zero experience; had an Elite about 8 years ago and loved it but needed to sell it when we moved to the city. Since I’m new, I’m not sure what to look for and if buying used online, wouldn’t be able to inspect anyway. Would like to spend around $ 500 or less if possible. If not, I can save up what I need for the right fit/deal.
I’m 5’10", 220lbs and strong enough fwiw.
My only concern with going to a pro shop is them pushing me into something that really is their best profit margin product. But, perhaps I need to so that I can get ‘fitted’ properly?
Sorry in advance for the ‘newb’ questions!

Hang On Recommendations: Millennium, Family Traditions, something else? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Tried searching the forum but couldn’t find anything recent. Looking for some hang on stands to place and leave. I love my climber and am not looking to replace it for mobile options, so I could care less about how much it weighs or how well it packs. The locations I have in mind will likely be spots where I will potentially sit all day so I’m more interested in comfort and quiet than anything else (safety being a given).
I’m a big guy and prefer a roomy platform. The Millennium M50 looks like a possibility and the Family Traditions stands might work also. What others should I be considering?

Paper tuning question. Any recommendations please. Bowtech Tribute #archery

2007 Bowtech Tribute.
26.5 draw length
70lbs bow set at 65lbs

The bow is tuned where there are two timing dots showing on the top cam and bottom cam.

So I’m getting Right Tear and I moved the rest away from the risor to correct it but that didn’t help and the rest was too far over. So I centered everything again and this time I switched out the cable slide which pulled the cables tighter to the cable rid and it actually improved the Right tear a little.

Reading a tuning guide it stated something about … move cable guard away from the arrow (increase load on cable guard).

What does this actually mean and how do I make those adjustments.

Are there any cable slides that bring the cables tighter away from the arrow?
Is there anyway to twist cables to make them tighter?
