FOC question?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I am thinking of building a set of arrows with the right amount of foc. I shoot 29 draw @70lbs. The arrows are gold tip 300 spine. How much weight should I add to the front end? 20, 50, 100 grains? Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Flemish question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Ok I finally figured out the twist, but now I have another question. After you guys make a string, what poundage to you stretch em at? It seems like when I stretch one, it always ends up super long. Even when I use the right length on my jig, my strings always end up roughly within an inch. Wether I’m making one for my 58 or 60" bows.

rkt cam efficiency question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I was looking at the AlphaElite RKT cams and had a question, I’ve heard people say that the bottom module position is the least efficient. Why?

I only ask because I’m either a 27.5 or a 28 inch draw, depending on the bow and if I buy the #1 cam the 27.5 is the top position and longest DL possible, but the #2 I can go either way but at the bottom end on both positions. Does this make the Alpha Elite not a great choice of bows for me due to the cam positions?

Archery turkey question??

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’ve been reading a lot of threads regarding broadhead choice and have not seen my question come up.
I am hoping to use the 125 grain magnus bullheads and also a mechanical broadhead. The bullheads are on longer arrows 31" I believe and I plan to sight in my bow for the bullheads. I want to carry a mechanical broadhead too on my regular arrows which are cut at 28.5". So my question is, would a lighter broadhead like a 100 grain mechanical be more likely to shoot close to what the bullheads shoot than if I used a 125 grain broadhead?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Terry Martin Question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I posted this in the general archery section probably should have posted here sorry about the repeat. This is a question for Terry Martin Larry Hatfield
sent me over here from the bowsite leatherwall he said he thought you could give me some information. In 1990 I bought a take down bow with two sets of
limbs . The riser is 19 1/2" long and lamaneted with three different types of wood. There are no markings or ID on the riser. It has metal saddles to keep the
limbs parallel to the riser. It has large 1′ x 1/2" knurled limb bolts. The first set of limbs is marked MX 900 62" 28" 52# M,112 with serial #74234. The second
set of limbs is marked MX 900 62" 28" 59# M,234 with serial #74508. There has been a 1 1/4" decal removed from the lower limb below the the limb
information. I have seen other martin bows marked MX200 & MX600 etc. Could you give me some history of this bow such as how many produced, years
in production and what does the M,112 might mean or any other trivia. Thanks, Jerry

Mathews center serving and BCY serving tool question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I can see that I will most likely need to re serve my HeliM’s center serving well before complete string replacement. I think its a zebra hybrid from the factory, no idea on strands, since Mathews doesn’t include a spec sheet with the bow. What size thread do I need to replicate the factory thickness (I like how my nocks fit)? I have an old spool of BCY multi 400 I think it is, that I tie peeps with and such, but it seems thinner than my current center serving. I have no idea what diameter the 400 Multi is, and don’t like the way it untwists when serving something.

Also, can a serving tool like the BCY Bearpaw be used to center serve a string with on the bow? It seems a little unnecessarily bulky to do so. I might just make my own simple serving tool, but may consider the Bearpaw, if its useable on a strung bow.

Thanks in advance!
