Kill Plot ideas #archery

Last year the neighboring property got logged, but the loggers put their log yard on the property I hunt, in the corner of a corn field. (The landowner allowed it). The person who plants the field left that area empty this year and I have obtained permission from the landowner to put in a small food plot. The area is roughly 40×25 yards, and is in the absolute perfect place to funnel deer down before heading out to the corn. What would you guys recommend planting? I have some food plot experience on other properties that I hunt, but this is such a killer spot, I am trying to make it perfect. I have had a lot of success with Bio-Logic Green Patch Plus in the past, which is an Oat and Wheat blend. This plot is relatively small, so I will need something that will sustain browsing pressure. Any suggestions?

Clover plot not being used this yr #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Just as the title says, last year this plot(1/2acre) was new(frost seeded) and got hammered that it didnt even get to flower or through out the year i didnt have to mow it. Multiple deer were using it through out the day.
But this year its hardly being touched, almost 14" high now and both red and white clovers have flowered.

Any thoughts or ideas as to why?

Should I mow it down again to help new tender growth?

Lastly there is grass growing midst of all the clover, should I do a selective herbicide to kill the

When’s the earliest I should plant? Fall clover plot

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I plan on doing a fall clover food plot with a cover crop of buck forage oats. I disked twice already and plan on disking it up one more time to keep the weeds in check. What would be the earliest you think I can put the seeds in the ground? Aug? Sept?

1st time food plot advice

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

After having access to a suburbian business complex that holds a good amount of deer in the area. I got permission and decided it was time to give these deer something else besides hitting the flower beds at night and having no other need to be on the Business complex. The small plating area is on a overgrown path that that is used by the deer at morning and night but always seems to be hit or miss how often they use it. It’s part of a patch of thick stuff that is a few 100 yards long and about a 100yrds wide. My side of the patch has small lots on either side of the complex that I have gotten pics on my cam all times of the day during the Rut and been lucky enough to take 2 Small Bucks on the property. I haven’t gotten pics of the BIG Racks that I have seen boardering the complex. The food source is very poor except for flower beds near the buildings and the nicely landscaped blacktop walking paths around a lake on the property.

I have looked at the Sweetspot stuff and so far looks like the most promising. I also just seen a ad for the Roll out food plot. I have to do everything by hand. I removed a good amount of weeds and growth. Just have to hit it with some weed killer next. ANY advice will be helpful.

Thanks,
Rich

.this Buck was from last season.
