I’m currently shooting Gold Tip Expedition Hunters 5575/400. I have no complaints, but I’m running out of arrows (a few robin hoods, a few nicked and cracked shafts). I would like to order online and am thinking about going up to the XT’s. I measured my arrows and it seems they’re 28.6 inches. That possible? My numbers are below.
I’m having some confidence problems after a failure to pass through with Hellrazors. For the late season archery I might switch to Slick Trick Mags and, since I have to retune, new shafts as well. But don’t know what length arrows to order.
So the numbers:
Mission Craze
29" draw
58lbs
100gr broadheads
Can you help?

Just out of curiosity if you were going to make a string that is 58 9/32" and a buss cable that is 34 5/16" what would you set your jig length at and how many twist would you put in each? This is 452X and 24 strands. I want to see if your formula matches mine. Thanks in advance.

Hi all-
I’m new to archerytalk.com, but not new to archery. I’m looking for advice on new arrows. I currently shoot the ACC 3-60. I have nothing to complain about with these arrows, other than the possible bending or denting. Every time I decide I want to go full carbon, I end up with more ACC shafts because that’s what I’m comfortable with. I mainly bow hunt, but shoot two to three 3D shoots a year, non competitive. My hunting arrow set up weighs in at 416 grains and I’m pushing them off the bow at 294 fps @ 29.5 dl and 69#s. I’m not necessarily looking to go lighter or gain speed, I just have no idea what arrows to even consider. These arrows hit game pretty dang hard, I think that’s the main reason I don’t switch.
So I guess what I’m looking for is a dual purpose arrow to hunt or shoot 3D with. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for any help and taking the time to read my post!

Like it says this is my first attempt at bare shaft tuning. I have no real idea what I’m looking at. This is from 20 yards. As you can see the bare shaft hits left and slightly low. The bare shaft also points low and left. These movements get progressively worse from 5 out to 20. My guess would be this means the rest needs to come up slightly and to the right slightly. Before I start moving things please help me.
