See if y’all can help me find a piece to an old bow sight.

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

This is part of my first bow, a proline Force 2. Bought it used 22 years and it was recently found. Getting a new string so all I’ll still need is one of the very end pieces for the sight pins. Best I could describe it is a long knurled finger tightened nut. Any ideas what I’d be looking for? Just don’t know what to call it

What if I gave you $400 for a 1 piece recurve

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So I have a birthday coming up and after dropping some coin on my sons first birthday and my wife’s 30th it’s finally time to treat big papa.

I have been shooting a 45# omp and love it and want to expand my arsenal to include a one piece. I was advised by some members I my club to get a similar length and weight so I could use the same arrows.

I’m currently looking at both new and used bows but honestly am a little afraid of used bows as I’m not sure what to look for in terms of potential lemons.

Right now the leader is the PSE black hawk.

I would love to hear your opinons the best value for a one piece recurve (60-62" 45-50#) for 400 bucks or less (possibly a bit more …shhh don’t tell the mrs)

Help finding a new one piece recurve.

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’ve seen some great advice, recommendations, and links on this forum so I’m hoping some kind folks can give me some references I haven’t been able to find.
Here is my story I have a 30" draw length. The yard stick off of the chest method gave me 29.75", and the calculated method gives me 30.4" so I figure 30" draw is right and nice in the middle. Everything I am checking is saying a 68" bow is what I need for that draw length. I have never had a bow fit just right for me.

My best fit now out of the bows I own is a 66" 45#@28 Javelina. It is nice but when trying to do my full draw with a low anchor point in the attempt to try for the longer shots I want to practice I can feel it begin to stack hard the last couple of inches that I need to anchor my draw. So I’m convinced if I want a bow to work with my full range of movement I need a 68" one. Problem is I want a one piece recurve. I have looked at a number of solutions and have contacted Martin about what they can do for a custom setup. I am still waiting to hear back from them as their guy with the best answers is away for a few days. I have always been a Howatt faithful, but if they don’t have what want or can afford I’d like to look around more.

I would like to see what anyone here can direct me to for more options. I have looked at the Omega Original which is a 66" and the chart on that site says good for 30" draw lengths. If that is true and comfortable I would definitely take that as an option, they are priced really well too.

There are just not many one piece recurves at 68" out there. I understand the bigger the recurve the harder it is to make. I love the bows I have, but I would like to have one that is just right for me, and while I know there are many nice takedown setups out there I really have my heart set on one piece recurve bows, they are what I truly enjoy about archery. My personal belief is that if I am going to start putting metal stuff on my bow I should just get a compound.

Any recommendations and help here would be greatly appreciated. If there were to be a 66" one out there that pulls smooth at 30" that would be great, I just don’t know much about how bows perform differently between these two size categories. I may be buying this bow in the next month or the next year it just depends really, I just like to do my research first.
