betqeen these two bows which would you make your primary hunting bow and the other possibility a backup. OBB Phoenix or OBB knightmare? Reasons and why would be appreciated. I do like both myself and use both equally but if you had to let one go which would it be. Thanks for your input.

New Archer-need opinions #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Just got my first bow in over 10 years. Hoyt supertec with xt2000 limbs. Love going in the back yard and shooting, also going to hunt next year. I’ll have about 150 dollars this month to spend on whatever. Strings will need to be replaced before winter is up, but I plan on upgrading to a Hoyt Powermax in the spring. So should I spend that money on
A- Re string current bow and get more arrows
Or
B- Buy a samick sage recurve to play with
I’m torn, I want both and I don’t know what to do.
Also, thoughts on the powermax?

ATV opinions please #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So I’ve been looking on Craigslist for an atv and can’t find what I’m looking for so I’ve decided to go new. My budget is $ 6000 or under and I’ve got it narrowed down to 2:

Honda Rancher 420 ES
and
Can Am Outlander 450

This is going to be for hauling out deer and moving tree stands primarily. Maybe pulling a rake for food plots. Not interested in tearing up the trails or mud bogging.

The Can Am is about $ 800 less, has independent rear suspension, automatic (which I really like) and 38 horsepower.
The Honda is reliable and parts are cheap. It is electric shift (not crazy about), rear axle and about 26 horsepower.

My conundrum is do I go with a machine I’m not familiar with (Can Am) to get alot of the features I want or the Honda with less features but known reliability?

Danner East Ridge opinions #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Well, its time for new boots. My pronghorns are showing their age. I found them to be comfortable, but just OK wear wise. I see the East Ridge boots by them are american made, and cost $ 175ish on Amazon. Anybody have any thoughts on these boots? Feedback? I’m open to any brand, but these look pretty decent for the price. Other big name boots are a bit more. I will go that route if I need to, but these have me intrigued.

Opinions on single pin sights wanted…

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’m shooting a single cam bow with a 26" DL at 64lbs. Needless to say, I’m not breaking any IBO records. Would a single pin sight in my case be a bad decision?

TOPO asking the experts for opinions

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hi guys,

Looking for opinions on additional stand placement one of my properties. The outline area is 120 acre chunk of which I currently have 2 sets. One is on an oak flat that’s on a high part of the property. This area has mature red oaks with a few sporadic hemlock – very open area. This a great evening stand pre-rut with acorns dropping. I do occasionally sit here in the morning during the rut as bucks cruise the thermals. Before the rut I do more harm than good chasing them out of there in the morning.

The other set on the bottom is at the end of a logging road, has a gate opening since there is a 48" barbwire fence that runs the length of the road and is on a swamp edge where there is a bedding area. Pre-rut I try and catch’m coming off the oak flat. This is also a good rut area as it’s close to a bedroom.

So let’s pretend access to other parts of the property in red is not an issue. What else is the topo telling you?

Here is a link to the type of deer are coming up to the flat to feed:
