Switching from FMJ to Axis? Brass inserts? Need help choosing spine.

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’m gonna try the axis arrows as my new hunting arrows. I’m wanting to try the hit brass inserts (either 50 r 75 grains) to make up for the wieght diff between the two arrows. I like a hard hitting arrow, just don’t like the bending of the FMJ’s. I shoot a Mathews z7 at 68lbs with a 27" 400 spine FMJ arrow and a 100grain swacker. What spine would I need in the axis when adding a 50 r 75 grain insert?

My tap is down and i need someone to run some numbers for me. 2013 Hoyt charger 29 inch draw and 60lbs. The arrow is a carbon express piledriver 350 with the 44 grain insert. Ok tough to hunt stand, need opinions

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

image.jpgI planted the area in red with milo and plan on over seeding with turnips and rye. The area in green is soybeans, also to be overseeded in turnips as well as rye. I have a stand set for a N, NW, or W wind on my beans and would like to try and set up my milo for a S SW wind to hunt late season. athe problem is all the areas marked with arrows I have observed deer moving across the property. One of my biggest problems is trying to get a perfect wind when I know thats next to impossible. How would you guys prefer to hunt this spot? There are some good trees on the edge of the woods on the N side of the milo there as well as on the little ditch that runs along the S side. Im afraid by hunting one end too far E or W on the plot I will be limiting my shot potential.

Thanks

Need help getting to spec

Working with a single cam Diamond and I’m stuck.

To get to this point I’ve added a lot of twists to the cable, and taken out a lot of twist out of the string. They both are starting to look maxed out.

Limbs should be at 60# and measure real close at 59+.

Brace height should be at 7" and I have it at 7 1/16"

ATA is dead on at 32 5/8"

Draw length is set for 29 and I measured it (nock crotch to grip throat + 1 3/4) at 29 3/4"

It’s the cam that’s way off. There should be 2 1/4 timing marks above the limb and I’m looking at 4+. Is that advanced or ret*rded? I can’t get them straight, but the string comes of the cam with a noticeable kink in it.

I’d like to get the cam aligned, but taking twists out of the cable or adding them to the string will lose the max poundage. Not sure if I’m missing something obvious, if I should keep tweeking, or just leave well enough alone and see how it shoots.
