Hi all,
New to the forum. As the title says, I’m a RH, left eye dominant shooter and have always shot bows right handed. I’ve bowhunted since I was 12 but the last year or so got away from it, partially due to a lack of confidence in my abilities that I believe was tied to shooting with my non-dominant eye. I’ve had quite a successful last season with my rifle, but am looking to get back into bowhunting.
I’m not brand new to archery, and therefore would like to buy a top-end bow, but am worried about the draw weight. I shot 70lbs on my old bow, but am not positive if I’d be able to do so with a LH bow (never shot one). I’m a pretty stout guy (25 y.o. 6’1 210lbs) that trains quite a bit, for reference. Is there anyone who’s been in my shoes who has some advice?
Thanks!

So I recently switched from 400 spine with g5 montecs 100gr to a heavier setup for elk. (trying something knew because apparently I want to break something that’s fixed) I have a 26.5" draw. New arrows are 350 spine with a 180gr tip. I walk back tuned my bow with both my 400s field tipped and then with my montecs and was spot on out to 50. After trying to adjust, I am shooting strong left. 3"s at 20 and a foot at 30. I know there’s a million variables, but any help would be appreciated. I assume it has a lot to do with the spine. I’m not new to archery but I’m knew to change and tuning. Bow is a hoyt defiant 30 pulling 58lbs. Any help is appreciated. First Pic is with montecs second is with valkrye setup.

Hello everybody,
I’ve bowhunted for about 14 years now and a constant shooter all year long. Long story short I used to be able to shoot pie plate group out to 60 yards. I recently put a bad shot on a doe a couple weeks ago and thinking it was target panic that set in and caused it. I can shoot 5 to 10 good shots and then all the sudden a few arrows miss the mark left. I sometimes think I see my arrows whipping, but I have read that it is usually and optical illusion as if my arrows were possibly hitting the rest wouldn’t all my groups be left? I’m starting to think I’ve somehow developed the Yips with shooting my bow or is there any other thing that could cause this random shot to the left sometimes even 2 or 3 in a row then all the sudden I can hit right where I am aiming? I’m still confident out to 35 yards but I used to know I could hit my mark constantly out to 50. Is there possibly something wrong with my bow or is this 100% target panic Yips? I shoot a Hoyt Carbon Spyder right around 67 pounds FMJ arrows 100 grain tips.

Today while i was shooting I noticed most of my misses were to the left. With a handfull that were straight high. The first thing that comes to mind is my grip bit imnot sure excactly what im doind wrong or how to correct it. I just started shooting 5 spot 300 a few weeks ago and shot a 26x 289 today which is about average for me so far. Im more concerned with eliminating the left misses and the few high misses than the actual score for now.
I would welcome any and all thoughts.

Years ago when she started shooting guns we did the dominant eye test and it came up right. She is right handed, but for some reason she decided to revisit the dominant eye test tonight and it came up left eye dominant most of the time but not always, maybe 8/10 came up left. Sooooo…. switch hands? Or shoot left eye closed? She hasnt been shooting long so if she is going to turn around i would just assume get it over with now. She is having a little bit of a tough time and i have to wonder if this is part of why
