Incidental Learning: Bow Presses and Pressing My Bowtechs #archery

This is a two-forum question, here’s the general stuff:

Thinking of buying a press, specifically the EZ Green, and having never seen a bow press before I have some dumb questions…

First, how big is this thing? Recently converted the garage into an apartment and lost my tinker room. I see it needs to be bench mounted, but I should be able to unmount it and store it when not in use right?

How does this thing work (imagine you’re describing it to someone over the phone)? One of my fears comes from threads I’ve read about bows shooting out of pressesand ending up on the floor [or in the wall] in pieces.

Being a newbie and having never seen it done before, I’m a little nervous about pressing any bow. What are some things I need to watch for, so I can mentally process non-visual techniques to avoid problems.

Also considering a draw board down the road, but I can make that tactually accessible easily enough, and ideas for mounting a luggage scale to measure DW (there are a few talking models on the market, but it will take some pondering to figure out how to incorporate one into a press).

From the other thread:
I’m planning on pressing my Bowtech Specialists, a Fanatic, and possibly another D350 or RPM (the first I miss, the second I would like to try someday). Not trying to fuel the "it’s going to blow" fire, but some of these models have that reputation, what are some things I need to watch for?

Thanks
