When I ordered my RX3 the shop put in the order for the wrong poundage limbs. They ordered the correct ones and I waited an extra couple of weeks and they would install them. Shot it for a bit, found that thread about sight mount issues and got paranoid, now I noticed this and was wondering if it’s how it’s suppose to be? Which I kinda doubt but didn’t want to go in and complain about nothing. Thanks

I know it wI’ll be time consuming but I’m hoping someone will give me a step by step tuturial on how to change my strings and cables on my mathews wake or give me a link., I have a ez press and bought strings from mathews

Oct 1 is here!!! Can’t sleep. In six hours I’ll be climbing a tree. I don’t know how, but I managed to survive the off season and now I get to do what I love for the next few months!!!!

What do you think…I’m planning a hunt with an outfitter, and was wondering if you guys think it’s rude or disrespectful if I request that I have a certain guide to guide me on my hunt? I’ve hunted with this outfitter twice before & have had this guide I’m talking about once before. This particular guide is also the owner of the business. What do you think?

Let me preface this by saying if you google old school, traditional, old fashioned, etc, you will no doubt find my name if not my pic on the first page.

I bought a custom Vent 112 from George because I had to. I just had to know what these beasts are all about. I "knew" that the experiment would be short, I would not like it, and then I could move on and live in peace with recurves and "normal" looking compound crossbows. I have tried to pick this bow apart, it is hard to find fault. This strange looking machine cocks easily, shoots great, is fairly quiet, has a great trigger, is deadly accurate, is amazingly efficient…and on and on. Yet, I still am trying to convince myself to sell it. I told my wife, who knows how massively picky I can be, "it’s a little heavy and it’s ugly, but that’s about it." She, without looking up from her ipad, replied, "so are you and I’ve kept you for 45 years."…:set1_thinking:….. …hmmm, perhaps I should keep the Vent a while longer!

I live not far from Fedora ,as I said in an earlier post. He was thinking about the ATA show. They were some things going on that he would not talk about.
I do like my Keystone bows I bought,but Mike makes a good bow also.
This will be the New Fedora Archery. He has taken on several people to help with bows improved his shop to a larger size and once every thing is in place, you will be able to buy a stock bow and have it ship in 72 hours.Custom length and different wood than the stock bow will ship in 5 weeks.
I say good for him as he has been building bows since 1956. In the sixties and seventies his target bows were in the Olympics and several medals were won with his target bows.
I think this is a change for the best, It is about time he got serious about his company.

Hey every one ! I am new here , and well new to archery as well . I am normally a firearms kind of guy. I recently bought my first bow , a bear Encounter ( nothing special I know ) . My reason for doing so , therapy , in more ways then one . I had shoulder surgery 2 years ago and a buddy if mine said archery is a great way to work out your shoulder , and the other is my own escape . I use to go to the shooting range once a week . But let’s face it, with the price of ammo and as hard as it is to find , this just seemed to be a logical option . Oh and I can shoot in my back yard , inside city limits , um OK !!!

Anyway I sat down the other day to get some ideas about bow stands and well I saw a few I liked , but nothing that held a bow or two and arrows . So I thought to my self while standing in Home Depot ( which anyone knows is dangerous ) " hey I am smart , I can just design one in my head real fast and build one "

So about $ 40 later and about 20 mins to build . This is what I came up with . I know it’s not the prettiest girl at the ball , but hey she gets the job done . And it’s light enough it can be stored in my shed while being super sturdy so it won’t tip over with mine and my wife’s bow on it .

So please let me know what you all think ! I am open to opinion , I mean how else to we grow and learn !

Oh and if you want it’s size or parts list to build one just ask and I will get a list together

Lost our local range a couple months back and have been struggling to find a new place we can afford. We do have a local shop that we can shoot at, but he has leagues and things going most nights and is not open on Sundays. Boy, I did not realize how nice it was to have a key to our old range to go shoot whenever I got the notion.
