HIT Insert Making Shaft Weak #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Like the title says I’ve noticed that the HIT insert system makes the tip demolish the shaft in front of the insert with even some of the smallest blows. I was wondering what you guys have done to remedy this if anything at all. I really just can’t imagine these arrows should be breaking off so easy just from hitting the dirt, not even something like a rock. All tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Brass Insert Question #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Are brass inserts harder than aluminum inserts? I tried using a G5 arrow squaring device on brass inserts and it didn’t seem to be cutting away at the brass at all.

Black Eagle Rampage insert question #archery

Looking at getting a dozen to build just not sure what glue to use on the inserts. Do I need to use a 2 part epoxy or just a fletching glue? Thanks for the help.

Insert Removal- heated too much and got some carbon, safe to shoot?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I had some arrows that had the insert glued in only half way ( I was not using these). I heated up a filed tip in a vice with a torch not to the point that it was red but got it hot enough to melt the glue, screwed it on to the arrow and pulled the insert out. I notice a sleeve of carbon that cam out as well. are these still safe to shoot? should I cut the tip off where the carbon unraveled? Thanks for the help picture below

.204 ignitor half out insert questions?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hey fellas,

I just recently bought my first dozen Easton FMJ arrow blanks. They have the HIT inserts, Easton RPS field points, and have been fletched with 2" Blazers.

I bought two 6 packs of the Ignitor brand lighted nocks.
The instructions are vague about "bonding" the half out inserts in the arrow. What type of "bonding" material works best for these Ignitor lighted nocks in FMJ arrows?

Thanks

Arrow insert problem

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

When I got my bow, I ordered a 29". Come to find out if was a touch long so I went with a 28.5", I just felt more comfortable at that length since I was used to it. Long story short, my arrows are about 1 3/4 to 2 inches too long. I tried removing the inserts using heat but they won’t budge. Will my shop still be able to cut them or will I have to get new arrows?

FMJ & Kinetic Insert

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Just wondering if anyone has used the GT accu-tuff kinetic inserts with the FMJ arrows instead of the HIT’s? If you have how did they work for you? Looks like they will work well & should stop the mushrooming.

Brass Insert Advice?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Someone told me to increase accuracy I should add weight to the front of my arrow to improve the front of center. So I added 50 grain brass inserts to my Carbon Express Maxima Reds. The first two pictures is the first two arrows. The third picture is my 60 yard group after adjusting the site as the pins had to be made a little further due to the arrow being heavier. I feel like it made an amazing improvement, but should I go more than that? I am shooting at 65 pounds, 28 inch draw, and my arrows weigh 430 grains. Anyone who has any advice on building arrows, your insight is greatly appreciated.
