Hoyt Powermax cams. #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hi Folks I am new to the forums but not new to archery (20 years a Field archer) I hope I am posting in the correct forum! My question is where can I find more information on the Hoyt Powermax cams. I am particulary interested in the bearing and axle system used, is it ballraced or phospher bronze or nylon? Thanks.

Grips for 2018 Hoyt XXL #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whether the coloured/ different angled grips that GRIV was promoting would work on the XXL or if they only work for the Hoyt target Bows that come standard with the different grip angles. Really interested in this bow, but want the different grip options. Thanks!

Hoyt carbon defiant 34 tuning question. #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

So I think, like a lot of folk, when I’m interested in buying something I try to find as much information on it as possible.
And when researching what works best for tuning the CD34, I found that some guys couldn’t get there’s to shoot broadheads or bare shafts very well or at all.
Even Shane, AKA OnTarget7, had to do some ,IMO, undesirable things to get it to tune correctly. These were mostly post and articles from 2015-2016, but I did find a couple post stating the aforementioned issues at the first of the year. Also the riser flex is abit odd to me. Especially if the riser is as stiff as they say.
This is rather concerning because I would use the bow for hunting. And obviously it needs to be able to shoot broadheads, preferably fixed heads.

This issue also seemed to be hit or miss?

What is the current word on the matter. Is the problem resolved, was it ever a problem? Or did the problem just fall to the wayside?

Thanks.

Prime to Hoyt? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I currently have a prime ion , first higher end bow I’ve owned for about year. I love it, shoots good and I shoot good with it.

My family is trying to get me to switch over to Hoyt..

My question is, anyone here switched from a prime to a Hoyt and why?

Would I be dumb to look at getting rid of my ion for say a powermax? Incase I don’t wanna look at spending over a 1000$ .

I’m always open to checking out new brands, but I hope it doesn’t turn into a case of "I just want something different cause I can"

I know I have to shoot to know what I like and stuff but looking for people’s opinions on both brands or one of the brands, or why they switched. Thanks
