Silicone based string wax, good of bad for the string?
I remember reading about some string making thread fibres that the manufacture did not recommend the use of silicone based waxes on their string material.
Can anyone elaborate on why silicone wax would be a bad thing.

Do you have a good way to attach your range finder to your binoculars?

Or is that even a good idea. Want to keep them both handy, but of course not bumping into each other and causing noise or damage. Got any ideas? Pics?

Good ILF hunting limbs??

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have a 19" Pinnacle 2. The only ILF limbs I have shot are TT limbs, which in my limited experience seems like good ones. But, what are some other good ones to watch for in the classifieds.

And, are there any that should be avoided.

I use my bows for hunting only.

recommend a good broadhead for my set up

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

hey guys,
season is coming and i’m getting a little late start due to getting married, i’m trying to decide what head i wanna shoot this year so i need a little help from the pro’s if i can. i’m shooting a quest primal at 27.5 draw length and 63lbs draw weight. my arrow weights about 375ish with 100 grain head, and i’m shooting 280 fps. i need a good broadhead fixed or mechanical,i just want it to do its job.i don’t have a ton of money to do any trial and error,my bow is tuned and shoots slick trick standards and G5 montecs flat with my field points but i want something with a little bigger cut. i have been checking out the NAP killzone’s but don;t know anyone who has used them personally,i only have 1 slick trick and 1 montec left with a little over a month before season so i gotta find something fast. thanks in advance for any help and please don’t start a debate,i’m just looking for some advice

2 pieces of property and no good pics of big bucks

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hey all,
I am fortunate enough to hunt on two properties. One is 27 acres(which my father in-law lives on) that is surrounded by 3 corn fields that add up to another 100 acres. Think like a horse shoe…the empty space in the middle is my father in-laws land and the surrounding "shorseshoe shape" are the corn fields his neighbors own (who dont hunt).
The other property is 150acres which is surrounded by other plots of land where people do hunt. this is all woods with 3 different grassy fields, but there are some farm fields with-in quarter mile as well. This property is new, we just bought last year.

Last year…we had lots of nice 8 pointers and 10 pointers on camera at my fathers house property(the horseshoe one), however, only one eight pointer was shot…nothing else mainly because we spent most our time at the new 150 acre property. This property was just bought last year and we didnt have time for scouting accept to see some rub areas which we set-up stands around. We actually shot a monster 10 point last year at this new property. Anyways, to make a long storry short….we set camera’s up everywhere at the new property and the old horseshoe property.

We were surprised to only see tons of doe and younger bucks. I mean a lot! We left the cameras out for about a month and there wasnt a day or camera with out a deer on it…and not just single deer…we are talking some days had groups of lots of deer but there was NOT anything bigger than a younger 6 point which is crazy because like I said, at the horseshoe property, no one else hunts and last year was actually the first year we didnt hunt it hard and only took one eight pointer and the new property showed LOTS of does and actually a really good amount of young bucks but nothing big. So what gives? Where did all the big boys go haha. My father in-law is friends with most the surrounding land owner hunters and everyone had a bad year last year so we all expected to see lots of big deer this year…I live in new york by the way.

Moving, anyone know a good place to shoot near Baraboo WI?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Relocating for work from Racine to Baraboo WI first week of Sept. I’ll have to do some scouting on the fly for hunting spots, but does anyone know a range or two around there to sling the longbow? My wife and baby won’t be coming up until Oct so I should have some week nights free to shoot. I’ll be checking out the neighborhood, looking for housing rent/buy, scouting for deer, shooting, hunting (Sept 14 opener)…a nice place to live, an archery range, or a great spot to hunt, I wonder which one I’ll find first… I know which one my lovely wife would prefer :D .

Just looking for advice on a bow scale. Seems the $ 50.00 plus ones get worse reviews than the ones around $ 30.00. Anyone have one that accurate and consistent?
