Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

In the limb pockets there is only little notches, not numbers for the weight, I had the pro shop set it to 40 when I bought it but now I want to up the poundage and can’t find a chart anywhere to know which number I am at?

hoyt pro edge rockers

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have seen in some threads people mentioned that they have longer limb rockers on their pro edge elites. From memory I think it is a swap from size 6 to size 7??.
Where do you get these longer rockers?
What do they do? Increase decrease poundage
Does the swap effect draw length? If so is it longer shorter.
For those that have done the swap what benefits/advantage have you noticed.
Cheers

Which gets the edge: Higher FOC & lighter arrow or Lower FOC & heavier arrow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

After reading through many, many threads and tinkering with OT2 a lot, I’ve put together 3 different arrow configurations that will all shoot well out of my bow according to OT2:

1) Higher FOC/Lighter Arrow:
- 439 gr.
- 16.97% foc
- 81.88 KE
- .57 momentum

2) Mid FOC/Mid Weight Arrow:
- 513.2 gr.
- 14.11% foc
- 82.81 KE
- .61 momentum

3) Lower FOC/Heavier Arrow:
- 592.8 gr
- 12.65% foc
- 83.6 KE
- 0.66 momentum

Ideally, I would like both a high FOC and a heavy arrow. However, with my current bow and the selection of arrows available, I am unable to achieve this combination. I know that all of these combinations are plenty capable of killing deer, but I’m interested in hearing thoughts on which of these is the best substitute since I can’t hit the high FOC/heavy arrow goal. I’m aware that there will be a variety of opinions, but I’d like to hear them nonetheless.

Opinions on 100 grain Ulmer Edge Broadheads

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

My search feature isn’t working so I was wanting to get some opinions on this head. I looked into the swackers but I don’t like the idea of not opening until inside the animal. Does the ulmer require any kind of rubber band and do you get a practice head with it like with the rage heads? Does the 100 grain only come in a 1.5 inch cutting diameter? How is it on quartering away shots and is the ferrule aluminum or is it all steel? Thanks for answering a bunch of questions for me.

Dalaa Setup up pushing me into Deep Water “Edge of knowledge”-Help Needed?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have a 21inch Dalaa DAS riser I have shot this riser for a few years. Last weekend I went to 3 rivers and my original limbs were maple core and medium the new limbs are foam core and long. The current bow is at 66 inches. The difference between the old limbs and new limbs is very obvious to me in terms of the smooth draw. The problem I have is regarding the vibration and noise of the bow. When I got the new limbs home I took the bow out back and shot it. It was so loud I took the string off and inspected the limbs for cracks. After proving to myself there were no cracks I thought okay one step at a time. I started playing with Brace Height on the 66 it likes the 8.5 which is a little higher than the 64 inch limbs preferred. This took some of the vibration and noise out. A glimmer of hope!
Next was tiller- On my 64 limbs I think I was positive tiller .25 inches. Just to clarify in case I’m hosing this up the bottom limb measured .25 shorter than the top limb. When we set the new 66 limbs up at 3 rivers it was set up for neutral tiller. I am told by many that three under shooters which I am, generally shoot tiller neutral. So I measure tiller and realize the bow is actually a 16th positive.

Below are the steps I have taken.
• Take limbs to max on the Dalaa to ensure both limbs are at the same tiller and even weight-B-7 2/8 T= 7 2/8 I actually find that the top limb is positive when maxed by a 16th. I correct and now have even tiller.
• Shoot Dalaa – Loud as heck –tons of vibration – lots of high nock on bare shaft
• Adjust to Positive tiller 1/8 Slight improvement in hand shock and noise and believe it or not high nock
• Adjust again Positive Tiller 1/8 Major Improvement in hand shock and noise. Final tiller B 7 1/8 T 73/8 Brace Height 8.5.

Something to point out since I maxed both limbs to ensure even tiller “I measured to verify” I could not turn both limb screws in opposite directions. The top limb was maxed so to adjust tiller only the bottom limb was adjusted. I did not go past 1/4th positive because the Dalaa Manual recommends 0 to ¼.

The problem: I am now hearing noise and feeling vibration specifically from the top limb not the bottom.

Other possible variables: I am also used to a perfectly tuned bow with a 6 strand Silent But Deadly String. My SBD for the new limbs is on order until then I have string from 3 rivers. So I am sure that some of the additional noise is coming from the fact that foam core are a bit noisier than maple and I don’t have a SBD string I also do not have limb savers on these limbs and I do the others. There is more limb on the new set up so maybe more vibration is expected.

Questions:
Why would positive tiller work better for me when Im a 3 under shooter?

Did I hose something up by not turning both bolts in opposite directions?

Can I go beyond ¼ positive tiller?

Misc Facts-
My old limbs were set at 43lb 64 inch bow- New limbs set at 42lbs 66inch bow
I shoot off of a flipper rest not off the shelf, I tie my own nock bottom and top.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or answers.
I often struggle with to much string weight on my ring finger which throws nock high.
