Best Full Carbon Long Draw hunting bow? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I am a true 31.5" draw and have been shooting for quite some time but thought i would see what else is out there. I currently have the X-pedition Perfexion and was wondering what bow is quick in FPS, full carbon, LONG ATA and also fits the 31.5" draw length? preferably in a 70# draw?

Thanks!

Draw length too long and point of impact #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I know this has to have been discussed on here but I could not find it in the search. Shooting spots with a hinge my set up has been fine 30.5” dl but yesterday at the first 3d of the season (my first with a hinge) I had trouble missing left for some reason. thought I was maybe pushing too hard with my bow hand hoping the shot would go off sooner (it was really windy) causing the left.

so my question

If your draw length is a touch too long would you be more susceptible to miss left? or am I just overthinking a bad day?

New release now draw length feels too short

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I recently had a Scott Exxus Core fail multiple times during my draw cycle. Since I’m right in the middle of deer season and needed a replacement fast I immediately went to a Carter Plain 1 that my brother had. I was able to practice with it for a week or so and was comfortable enough to hunt with. Now that more time has passed I’m noticing my pin float is fairly jerky which is what I hear is caused by too short of a draw length. When I compare the Exxus Core to the Plain 1 I can see that there is a very slight difference in the length of the jaws. Maybe 1/4" at best. Unfortunately this puts me between modules.

So my question is, what adjustments can easily be made to gain back 1/8" to 1/4" of draw length without swapping modules? And then, what effects will these adjustments have on the bow other than draw length?

Bow is a 14 Obsession Phoenix.

70# sells 70% of market

65# sells ??? of market

Anybody seen any numbers like that ?

Light draw weight 30" compounds are few and far between .

When changing DRaw weight do we have to adjust the rest afterwards?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

One of my good buddies is setting up his bow, they had it set at 70lbs but he wants to back it down to about 65 lbs, do we need to move his rest and re paper tune and everything or will it still be about the same tuning wise? The arrows he had were under spine (can’t think of the arrow right now) but they should be pretty close at 65lbs.

Hoyt Z5/Turbo Cam Draw Stop Mod

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Rubber sleeve on the bottom cam draw stop peg was getting worn, and I was noticing a difference in wall firmness and timing. I decided to remove to rubber sleeve and re-timed the cams. With the rubber off I was able to fine tune the timing, getting that perfect top cam advancement. Wall is rock solid now. The rubber hotdog on the top cam mod is also removed. Anyone else tried this? I’m shooting a 2015 Hoyt carbon spyder zt turbo, #3 cam at 29.5 inch draw 73-74 lbs draw weight. I know ontarget7 posted up awhile back about experimenting with a spiral cam draw stop peg, but hadn’t heard any definitive answer. So far the stock peg with the rubber removed seems to open up a lot more flexibility with respect to tuning, and definitely stiffened up that backwall. Looking to hear others feedback or experiences with this mod. Thanks!

Measuring Draw Length without Draw Stop

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I have 2 bows and a Bow Time Machine which I am using as a draw board. I am trying to measure the bow’s draw length.

First bow is Bowtech RPM 360. I measure draw length when the string first touches both draw stops.

Second bow is Mathews Conquest 4. When I draw it on the draw board, there is no definite "stop". How do you measure draw length on a bow with a mushy wall?

I am recording the measurement from the deepest part of the grip to the inside of the bowstring from the riser. Is that right? Don’t include D-Loop length, right?

Chill R Draw length Questions…

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Guys,
I recently picked up a Chill R that has the incorrect Draw length mods.. My question is this: I usually shoot a 27" draw, however Im not sure if the chill R runs long or short naturally.. I want the OEM 80% let off mod for my correct length, and ill have to order this. I don’t want to order 2 sets of mods and have to return one set. What would your recommendation be for the length? Do you guys think anyone would want to trade 2 sets of mods for 2 sets of mods?? I would like to have an 80% letoff and one at 85% letoff.. THanks for your help Gents..

-Isaac
