Build me a 19%+ FOC hunting arrow/broadhead combo #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

List the components you would use to build a 19% or more FOC arrow/broadhead combo. I would like the arrow to be between 500gr and 700gr.

60# Compound bow, 28 inch minimum arrow, at least 4" wrap, Could be vanes or feathers, must include a lighted nock.

Which Arrow shaft?
which Insert?
which Vanes/Feathers?
Which Broadhead?

I’ve been messing with this for a few hours and it is more difficult than I thought but I think some of you arrow gurus can help me out. I’ve come up with a couple options but I want to see what you guys come up with. I’ve been using the gold tip FOC calculator. https://www.goldtip.com/Resources/Ca…alculator.aspx

Thanks

Tightspot/ Spott Hogg Combo #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I am currently shooting a Spott Hogg Tommy Hogg with my arrows being attached to my pack. I ran into some trouble knocking arrows off in the brush hunting corp of engineer ground in Kansas. So, I am looking to go back with a quiver. I want to try the Tightspot 5 arrow model.

Do any of you guys run this combo? Do you attach quiver direct to sight with that model or will I need to adjustable bracket? Cant find much about this particular combo on the search side. Thanks for any info.

Packs…. combo of a waist and backpack?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I am thinking of going with a waist/fanny pack this for my treestand essentials( calls, light, knife, etc). That way on short hunts I can just grab the light weight pack and go…The waist pack I want does not need to be large because I want to compliment it with a small backpack(food, water, clothes, etc))for all day hunts.

Does anyone use this system? I was thinking this way you would not have to repack a larger pack for all day hunts. Then your small waist pack is always ready to go with everyday treestand essentials.

Suggestions or ideas?

Arrow/broadhead combo for youth?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

This is my 11 yr old son’s first year bowhunting. The season opened this weekend and he got an opportunity on a doe. He made a great shot right behind the shoulder at 20yds. We waited about an hr then started tracking. Found the arrow (broken off) and noticed he got roughly 5-6 inches at best of penetration. Unfortunately the blood trail eventually dried up and we were unable to recover the deer. He is shooting a PSE Stinger X at 37lbs/23in, with 600 spine goldtip velocities and 100gr G5 Strikers. I know that’s a lot of FOC but he consistently got better groups with that setup and his broadheads grouped with his field points so I know the bow is tuned perfectly. I’m thinking he may need a different arrow/broadhead combo. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help!

Arrow and broadhead combo for moose

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Anyone with any thoughts on a set up for moose? I am headed to the yukon this fall and wondering what people are running for arrows and broadheads on moose. Currently I am shooting a bowtech insanity cpxl at 30" draw and 71#. My chrono is showing 314 fps shooting goldtip pro hunters and a slick trick magnum 100 gr head. My total arrow weight is 400gr. is this enough for moose or should i be shooting 125gr heads or heavier arrows. discuss

Sticks and stands combo

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hey guys, I know that probably been brought up plenty of times before but I’m still gonna ask for recommendations on a sticks and stands set. I wanna get it relatively soon so I got a nice portable set for the best time of the year. So basically what’s the lightest set up that you guys have? I’m leaning towards the new muddy sticks and stands that come with the rope setup, but looking at the lone wolfs and millenniums it’s hard to make up my mind. WhAts your guys input? And if you got a light set what’s your combo and total weight? Thanks for the help
