Brass Insert Question #archery

Are brass inserts harder than aluminum inserts? I tried using a G5 arrow squaring device on brass inserts and it didn’t seem to be cutting away at the brass at all.

Kisser Button ? Tying/Serving it in vs brass nocks #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

This may be a strange question but I was wondering if anyone ties in their Kisser Button rather than use the brass nocks. It may seem weird but I cannot get the brass nocks straight or crimped correctly, yes I have nock crimping pliers (not the cheap ones either), so I was thinking about tying it on with serving material. I know that some use the serving material to make kisser buttons this is not what I am talking about doing. I have a rubber kisser button and want to tie it on. In case it makes a difference, it is a slide on kisser button made by Pine Ridge Archery. Also if you have tied one on how did it do, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looking for brass inserts for Beman ICS #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hi, I’m looking to make the switch to Beman ICS Whiteouts this year, I currently shoot Easton Aftermaths and can easily find "H" brass inserts. I’m a little confused looking for inserts for the Beman. I don’t really want screw in weights, would prefer a simple 50gr brass insert for the .244 diameter ICS. Anyone know of any? Thanks

Switching from FMJ to Axis? Brass inserts? Need help choosing spine.

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m gonna try the axis arrows as my new hunting arrows. I’m wanting to try the hit brass inserts (either 50 r 75 grains) to make up for the wieght diff between the two arrows. I like a hard hitting arrow, just don’t like the bending of the FMJ’s. I shoot a Mathews z7 at 68lbs with a 27" 400 spine FMJ arrow and a 100grain swacker. What spine would I need in the axis when adding a 50 r 75 grain insert?

Brass Insert Advice?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Someone told me to increase accuracy I should add weight to the front of my arrow to improve the front of center. So I added 50 grain brass inserts to my Carbon Express Maxima Reds. The first two pictures is the first two arrows. The third picture is my 60 yard group after adjusting the site as the pins had to be made a little further due to the arrow being heavier. I feel like it made an amazing improvement, but should I go more than that? I am shooting at 65 pounds, 28 inch draw, and my arrows weigh 430 grains. Anyone who has any advice on building arrows, your insight is greatly appreciated.

Brass Inserts

Just curious to see what everyone prefers brand wise and weight for brass inserts. I’m looking to build some heavier arrows for next years season in the 450-500 grain range and may use inserts to help achieve my weight needs. I will have some DCA SD Hunter Customs coming to work with.
