Hello everyone, been a minute since last i’ve posted but I’ve decided its time for a new bow. I currently own A 2011 Elite Pure I got from Ebay (the whole G5 Ebay scam deal). Been a great bow thats taken a few deer and prolly keep for a backup since not worth much.
I have always shot a 32" DL ( measured myself last night and come to 30.8 but been measured by a few different shops always to come in at 32") Heading to a local shop today to shoot a BT Mag X, PSE Evo NTN 33, Evo NXT 33 and maybe a Hoyt Axius Ultra. He can also order me a traverse but doesn’t have one to shoot. This is why i felt I needed to ask advice. From everything I’m reading, couple utube vids comparing and such, the Traverse is hard to beat and has as good a price point as any. Would like some objective thoughts from those who have these or compared them. Bow will be used primarily for hunting…thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Hi all,
New to the forum. As the title says, I’m a RH, left eye dominant shooter and have always shot bows right handed. I’ve bowhunted since I was 12 but the last year or so got away from it, partially due to a lack of confidence in my abilities that I believe was tied to shooting with my non-dominant eye. I’ve had quite a successful last season with my rifle, but am looking to get back into bowhunting.
I’m not brand new to archery, and therefore would like to buy a top-end bow, but am worried about the draw weight. I shot 70lbs on my old bow, but am not positive if I’d be able to do so with a LH bow (never shot one). I’m a pretty stout guy (25 y.o. 6’1 210lbs) that trains quite a bit, for reference. Is there anyone who’s been in my shoes who has some advice?
Thanks!

Hey guys, I bought a ready to shoot bear showdown about 7 years ago and am looking to upgrade my setup. I know there are numerous great bows on the market but was looking for a little insight on suggestions for a new one. Would like to stay up to the 1000 price range.
Do you suggest buying another ready to shoot package or going and building a bow from scratch. I’d like to check out an archery shop to make sure whatever bow I get fits me properly. Is it worth buying straight from an archery shop or searching online? I’m in the Broward county area (south Florida) so it seems like archery shops are few and far between.
Any advice would be appreciated. Starting looking at archery talk forum but it seems like all the types of bows and accessories is overwhelming.
Forgot to add, the primary function for the bow is hunting
Thanks

Finally have the time to do an early season archery hunt in Ky this year. Flying up, as it’s going to be a long weekend trip. Questioning wether to fly the bow or ship it up. Flying up on Allegiant, the cost of baggage starts to outweigh the cheap fare. Thought it’d be pretty easy to ship it up before hand, and send boots and other odds and ends.
For those of you who have flown to hunt often, what’s your choice usually?

reign 6. Eating crow tonight. Said I would never buy bowtech but with how I shot with it I HAD to have it. I shot hoyts, Mathews, elites and bear and this bow just felt right and I was dead on from the start. Can’t wait to spend more time with it and take it hunting this fall IFFFFFFFF fingers crossed the limbs don’t blow.
Put a qad hdx rest on it, cbe sight and a 8" beestinger stab to get me started. Got a few more goodies to get for it to be complete.

I want to put new threads on my HTR. Wondering if I can get two different colored cables(each a solid color) and the string matching both cables (one of each of the cable colors). Open to any color options though. Let’s see what you got.
