I’ve had some say that they are in the top echelon of European glass. Wondering what kind of experiences others have had.

Affordable Bino’s ?? #archery

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Hi, I am starting to gear up for my first elk hunt next fall and need a decent pair of binoculars. I would like to keep the price below $ 200, preferably closer to $ 150. What brands/ products would you recommend for elk. Also what sort of magnification do you suggest. I am not going to have a spotting scope, so I think I want something with a good bit of magnification and the ability to connect to a tripod.

Thanks for the input

Bino’s Question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m looking at upgrading my Bino’s (terrible pair now) and they are 10×42’s. Not clear, and hard to keep in focus.

ANYWAY,

Looking to upgrade without breaking the bank (no HD’s for me). I’m really leaning toward Vortex or Nikon (trying to stay under 200).

I’ve been watching the classifieds and the deals posts and have found some. But my question is should I go with 10×42’s or 10×50’s?

I do Midwest hunting (WI, KS, MO, IL) so don’t need super powerful ones (not doing all day glassing or anything). Will use them for 3d shooting (nothing serious though).

10×42’s do seem the most popular but question if stepping up to the 10×50’s will be beneficial to really get a good look at that buck across a 200 or 300 yard field from time to time. Any draw back of going to the 10×50’s (other than hard to find a good price on them)?

Thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

Bowhunting Binos: 10×42 vs. 8.5×50

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

I’m going to be buying my first set of good binoculars. I’ve already decided on the Vortex Diamondbacks. The only decision I have left to make is whether to get the 10×42’s or the 8.5×50’s. I like the idea of the larger objective lens, but wonder if 8.5x won’t be enough magnification. I’m kind of thinking it will be, seeing how I hunt in Northern and Central Indiana, so there isn’t a whole lot of open country that extends for miles that I’ll be glassing. The woods I hunt are pretty thick, so maybe the better lighting of the 8.5×50’s would suit me better?

Thoughts?….

Thanks!
