Bear Kodiak hunter recurves

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

What are some of the differences in the Kodiak hunter and what makes some more valuable than others.

I have two both 60" 45# one is a 1968 the other 1969 the ’68 has green color limbs and white color near the handle, the ’69 has gray color limbs and darker color near the handle. Both have the same color bear coins, very little signs of wear and are in very good condition.

Are the different color limbs because of different years?

Any information would be great.

Thanks

Need help identifying/pricing a Bear Recurve

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

So, I have a Bear recurve that looks to be a Super Kodiak, but I don’t know anything about it for sure.
When I bought it off eBay back in early 2012, it was listed as a Super Kodiak and as having a 65# draw at 28", but all the writing and such had worn off.
It still has the coin, but I can’t tell what it’s made of.
I’m not in an area where any form of archery shop is exactly common, so if anyone knows for sure what kind of Bear bow this is, or a way to tell how old/new it is it’d be helpful. (Pretty sure it’s new, judging by the lack of glass on the front of the riser, but once again, I don’t know anything for certain)

I’ve decided I don’t shoot it enough to make it worth keeping. Even though it’s a beautiful bow, I can’t handle that draw weight on a regular basis and I have a long bow I enjoy shooting quite a bit more.
If anyone could tell me at least a rough estimate of what it’s worth, I’d love to know.
And if anyone’s interested in buying it, feel free to pm me an offer.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank ya.

New bear grizzly

If I was to buy one, is the extra $ 100 for the super grizzly worth it or is the regular grizzly good too ? It seems to be built up a bit more to accept a fast flight string and draw weights up to 65# for the super. Are both of these good shooting bows? I have not shot or held a new model bear bow in my life. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Bear Montana vs Custom Longbow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies Right Here

Already posted for feedback on the OMP Explorer Recurves. Basically, I’m finding more enjoyment from shooting my BamaBows Hunter Longbow than my compound bows. The compounds are just so accurate that the challenge is fading. I’m finding myself shooting the longbow more often than either of my compounds. I’m looking at another traditional bow for my kids to shoot. The OMP represents the "cheap" approach. On the other hand is the longbow option, which brings me to the Bear Montana versus another BamaBows Hunter longbow. This option is more costly, but believe it will add longevity to the effort. I have heard some good reports on the Montana Longbow, but debating to spend a few extra dollars to get another BamaBow.

Options:
BamaBow Hunter Longbow
Bear Montana Longbow
OMP Explorer Recurve

Thoughts? Opinions?

Thanks

Just bought a Bear recurve, have a question about type of string…

I tried to ask this in my last thread, but couldn’t get anyone to read the last post.

I just bought this Fred Bear "Black Bear" (for $ 30 ), and it’s 60"/35#. I have an extra Dacron B-50 2-bundle string that I bought (custom made by stilldub) for a 60"/30# bow and I was curious if it would work on the Black Bear or if I needed to order a new one…

Here are a few pics (the serial number is KL52765)

Thanks for any help!
