2213 arrows, not the trajectory I was hoping for

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hello all,

I’m new to this forum as well as archery in general. I’ve done much reading in terms of background information, and I finally got myself a set of equipment to start shooting with. Refer to my sig for my current set up.

To keep it to the point, my arrow flight is not what I was hoping for. I understand that 2213 arrows are heavier than recommended for a 35lb draw weight. I’m going off of the 3Rivers Archery arrow chart btw. When shooting with my community college class, a few of the more experienced guys mentioned a visually significant amount of arrow drop during flight, as well as a generally slow trajectory. I personally also notice some horizontal fishtailing (is that the right term?) of the arrow (fletchings appear to drift towards the left as the arrow leaves the arrow rest). As far as the fishtailing is concerned, I’m pretty confident that has to do with my arrow rest not being set up properly. More importantly, I’m having a lot of troubles with my shots when utilizing my sight.

The arrows aren’t grouping as well as I’d like (cannot group a pie plate at 20 yards). I have my sight set as far to the bottom of the rail as possible, and I’m using the absolute lowest pin on the sight. In other words, my sight won’t work for any distances beyond 20 yards. Here are my questions that I’ve been wondering about.

1) Am I not using the sight correctly? I’d like to think my common sense is at least decent:confused:

2) Are my arrows simply too heavy for my bow? The elevation drop at 20 yards is possibly hurting my accuracy?

3) Should I get lighter arrows than what I have? What would you recommend

4) Would you recommend the Easton Genesis 1820 NASP arrows? 30" with glue in points

5) What is the absolute largest size of aluminum arrows you’d recommend? I’m guessing 2018 with 125gr points?

Keep in mind, I am going for target shooting. My state is not kind to hunters, so I’m unlikely to do any bow hunting, although I know my equipment veers on the side of hunting.

Edit: Noticed my sig isn’t showing right now. My equipment are as follows:

Bow: 2013 Martin Saber Recurve
Arrows: 2213 Easton xx75 Superlite 31" with feathers and 100 gr field points
Sight: PSE Orion 5 pin

bows, quivers, arrows, broadheads, new special tax to pay for Obamacare

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

An Infowars reader sent along an image of a sales receipt from Cabela’s, a popular sporting goods store. The receipt (pictured at left) spells out what Obama and the feds want to keep secret – the middle class is being heavily taxed despite all the fatuous rhetoric of Democrats who invariably playthe class warfare card to sell their confiscatory taxation policies. “The 2.3% Medical Excise Tax that began on January 1st is supposed to be ‘hidden’ from the consumer, but it’s been brought to the public’s attention by hunting and fishing store Cabela’s who have refused to hide it and are showing it as a separate line item tax on their receipts,” the email states.

I know you are skeptical, please read on.

Now please hold on and bare with me before you say "OH, another Alex Jones article!" because I did some research and found directly from the IRS’s website information that PROVES this to be true and an accurate portrayal of something hidden in Obamacare that I was not aware of! Now being sceptical of this I went to the IRS website and found this!
Q1. What is the medical device excise tax? A1. Section 4191 of the Internal Revenue Code imposes an excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices by the manufacturer or importer of the device. Q2. When does the tax go into effect? A2. The tax applies to sales of taxable medical devices after Dec. 31, 2012. Q3. How much is the tax? A3. The tax is 2.3 percent of the sale price of the taxable medical device. See Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510, Excise Taxes, and Notice 2012-77 for additional information on the determination of sale price.
IRS.gov So being more curious I clicked on "Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510" And WALLAH! What do I find under "MEDICAL DEVICES" under "MANUFACTURERS TAXES"?
Manufacturers Taxes
The following discussion of manufacturers taxes applies to the tax on:
Sport fishing equipment;
Fishing rods and fishing poles;
Electric outboard motors;
Fishing tackle boxes;
Bows, quivers, broadheads, and points;
Arrow shafts;

Coal;
Taxable tires;
Gas guzzler automobiles; and
Vaccines.

How to make fat stiff 3D arrows tune out

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

This is my first year shooting fat arrows for 3D. I’ve always shot .246 size arrows but wanted to step up.

My setup
Elite Pure
55lbs 28 11/16in draw length
Limbdriver Pro rest
GT X Cutters cut at 30inches with 90gr points, GT HD Pin Nocks, 3 Mini Blazers and squared at both ends

My problem:
My first issue is the paper tuner. It shoots a consistent bad left tear with fletched and raw shafts. Identical tears. Moving the rest makes no effect. The only way I could help it was by moving the cable rod to where I could only shoot a Unfletched arrows.
Then, the Kitchen Sink method, the bare and fletched shaft won’t group anywhere close at any distance. At 20 yards it shoots 2 feet to the right of my fletched arrow.
Im working on the modified French tune which is doing better but my rest is so bad to the right I’m afraid if I step back to 40 yards the arrow is going to hit the next county to the right of me. I’ve never ever had issues with any other arrow or bow until now. Tuned many a customer bow up already and their bows shoot bullet holes, walkback tune well and are deadly accurate as far as they can see. Then I tune my bow and lose my marbles!

I’m not any kind of new to archery but this has got me beyond frustrated. Any help even the most basic would be appreciated.
