Shot with 70 lb Hoyt carbon Spyder 29"draw
Temp this morning was 28 and the block was cold
15mph crosswind for the small diameter arrow doubters
Victory VAP 1 28" with 1" Penetrator system total length 29"
Easton FMJ 29"
Gold Tip XT hunter 29"
All 426 grain give or take 4 grains
100 grain field tip on all
Blazer vanes with right helical on all

Pretty cool to see the difference. You could hear the difference when they hit. Also, shots were put into a portion of block that was not hit much at all.

Quick arrow question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

If you shoot 400 spine in one arrow brand and model, would you shoot 400 in all? Currently using Hexx 400s and looking at trying a heavier arrow.

Thanks

Which gets the edge: Higher FOC & lighter arrow or Lower FOC & heavier arrow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

After reading through many, many threads and tinkering with OT2 a lot, I’ve put together 3 different arrow configurations that will all shoot well out of my bow according to OT2:

1) Higher FOC/Lighter Arrow:
- 439 gr.
- 16.97% foc
- 81.88 KE
- .57 momentum

2) Mid FOC/Mid Weight Arrow:
- 513.2 gr.
- 14.11% foc
- 82.81 KE
- .61 momentum

3) Lower FOC/Heavier Arrow:
- 592.8 gr
- 12.65% foc
- 83.6 KE
- 0.66 momentum

Ideally, I would like both a high FOC and a heavy arrow. However, with my current bow and the selection of arrows available, I am unable to achieve this combination. I know that all of these combinations are plenty capable of killing deer, but I’m interested in hearing thoughts on which of these is the best substitute since I can’t hit the high FOC/heavy arrow goal. I’m aware that there will be a variety of opinions, but I’d like to hear them nonetheless.

What the heck is up with 5 arrow quivers?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

This is one of the biggest complaints I hear from customers about quivers.

Why did the industry decide that this was the right # on arrows a quiver should hold.

What do you all think?

New Slash Arrows – Deploying Blades inside the Arrow

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

We wanted to get some feedback from archers across the U.S. regarding this new arrow. So far the Houston community is aware of the new arrow. However, until the ATA, very few outside of Texas have heard about it. We are interested in hearing all questions/concerns/feedback from the community! Below is the picture and you can go to the website for more details.

I have also posted a much more detailed description in the classifieds: http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showth…post1071361106

Look forward to the feedback! Thanks for reading.

What arrow do I need?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Howdy all, been reading a lot of good advice on here and figured I ask for some myself. This is my first post by the way. I was hoping someone could tell me how to find correct spine and length of arrow for my setup. Prime Centroid 58lbs @28"dl. I prefer 100grain tips. Also what is a good weight for hunting and target, hoping to shoot some 3D after deer season. Thank y’all in advance.
