correct arrow (spine)

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Hello, everybody.
I’m beginner archer and I dont have any kind of assistance from a club in my area.
At the (past) many years at my area we had a coach that knew several things and he helped me a lot with my equipment.
The last years I’m alone and I’m trying to find the correct type of arrows for me and my son (13 years old).
The last weeks I have read plenty of articles, charts, etc for the correct arrows.
To be honest….. I’m more confused that informed!
Please, is there a simply explanation how can I choose the best arrow type for me???
I’m an indoor archer of 18m, (very rare to shoot field).
If my bow is 70” 36 lbs recurve and my arrow lenght (bottom of the nock slot to the end of the saft) is 27,75in how can I choose the spine for carbon or aluminium arrows??
(I have read already easton and …more charts without make any sence as I cant measure the weight of my arrows)

Is there a more simply way to choose??

Thank you….

Calculating lightest arrow to safely shoot

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Is there a calculation used to determine what the lightest arrow one can safely shoot out of a specific bow? I’m sure that IBO, draw length and let off would all be variables in the equation. Thanks.

X-Spot pro arrow saw question

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Im going to add another saw to the shop and am thinking about going with the X-Spot pro saw due to the fact that i was told they discontinued the easton elite saw??
So my question / questions are: does this saw also have a vaccum attachment? And the last question is, how about noise level / durability / precision? I cut alot of arrows so its for a high volume shop, i just dont know anyone with one and ive not found too much information reguarding it.

* If anyone has one of these saws please post some photos of it so i can get a better idea compared to google images *

Thanks ahead of time

Split a dozen Victory V-Force Sport 400 arrows with my brother to see how they’d shoot,no complaints so far but I did manage to hit my vanes while trying to get groups. Does anyone know if Victory blazer vanes are available, are they the same as Bohning’s blazer ?

Arrow selection help

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I will be shooting a Bowtech Experience set at 60# with 28.5 DL. I am looking to shoot 125g tips with at least a 50 insert. I could go as high as 100g insert. Will a .340 arrow work with that much point weight or should I look into .300 spine arrows?

Arrow help

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I shoot a Mathews heli-m with a 28.5 cam set at 70#. Currently I shoot CX blue streak 350s. I’m thinking of going to a heavier arrow this fall. I’ve got some Easton xx75′s in a 2315 shaft. These were my dads arrows from 20yrs ago. The length is right but I need to refletch them.

My question, is this the right shaft for me? What kind of performance can I expect from these arrows? I’ve never shot aluminums before. My blue streaks fly just under 300fps, more like 295. What would these be estimated to fly at?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Arrow Weight – 70# Insanity 30.5″dl

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

Just wondering on how light my arrows CAN be. I know the old adage is 5grains per pound. My insanity is set at 70# but I think in reality it’s doing around 68#. So in theory that’s 340-350gr. I put it through the chrono with my lightspeeds and it was doing 328-330fps. Weighed the arrows and they were coming in at 340 grains.

Thoughts?

Arrow lifting off the rest ?

Discount Prices on Archery Supplies on Amazon.com

I’ve had this problem once before when trying another shooters light GPI arrow. "Problem" being my arrow lifts up about mid draw from the rest, it settles back down, but it left me wondering. Is this related my nocking point, hard served nockpoints, nock pinch or just the light gpi arrows ( GT velocity XT ) ?

I don’t see it being a problem, unless it lifts in a bad spot, angled shot etc. where it might not land on the rest correctly. When using heavier shafts I have not seen this happen. Im clueless…
