Hey all. New account, longtime reader. New to this world and have done quite a bit of research towards bows, bow hunting, and brands to purchase. Would like you guys’s help in deciding on my first bow. I intend to take this from practice to field (spot and stalk) and as such, am leaning towards the more adjustable and affordable models. Ideally,
– Newbie friendly, high letoff
– Decent IBO speed
– Compact
– Lightweight
– Highly adjustable
– Not educated enough to prefer single or binary cams yet
– Good for training proper form while also hunting Texas game
– ~$ 400usd
Have checked a few archery stores, though was not able to shoot many different bows (LH due to eye dominance) Through research and talks with the store techs, I’ve come to appreciate the PSE, Diamond, and Mission by Mathews brands. To name models, PSE stinger X, Diamond SB-1, Mission Craze 2. Plan to buy used. I was measured at 27-28 inch draw and I’m wishing to work up to a 60 lb pull. Any advice or help on which to pick or similar bows that maybe what I’m looking for, would be greatly appreciated.
