I have a Bear Approach single cam. My last bow was an older PSE compound bow I got from my grandpa. My local pro shop set it up for me and I shot extremely well with it. Always had pretty tight groups out to even 40-50 yards. Robin hooded a few arrows with it even. So I know I can shoot decently accurate. However I recently got this bear, and took it in to have it set up. The pro shop recently changed staffing and this particular employee didn’t pay nearly as much attention to my bow as the previous one, he kind of threw it all together and sent me on my way. I have spent the last 3 weeks having a terrible time with this bow. I cannot get it sighted in properly, cannot get it to group well or consistent at all. I have tried adjusting everything and fine tuning it all as much as possible but I cannot get this thing to shoot consistent, can’t even get it on a bullseye hardly at 20 yards. And if I do, the next shot will be way off. The bow came set up at a 29 inch draw which is the same I was measured for and it is at around 62 Lbs which is comfortable for me. Previously I had a kisser button but on the new bow I do not. I do not feel like taking it into this shop will fix the problem and there isn’t another near by. Any idea what the problem could be? Draw length too long, incorrect arrows? I am shooting the carbon express wolverine(?) 350 that is 30 inches long with 100 grain tips. Too all my knowledge this thing should be perfect. I need ideas on what to try next. Bow season is coming and I am not at all confident in taking a shot at a deer with this bow. I had 100% confidence with my PSE which is now long gone.
