1. Prep your shaft with denatured alcohol use a clean white lint free cloth after you clean it do not touch the fletching area
2. Use emery paper like sandpaper but does not leave behind grit to lightly scuff the base of your vanes or feathers
3. Use clear PVC pipe cleaner found at any hardware store (except ACE) they only sell the purple stuff for do it yourselfers note do not use purple it will not come off. Use a q-tip to wipe the base of your vane while it is in the clamp. I use a new q-tip on each arrow
4. Apply vanes using any good adhesive fletch tite instant, bright site any good archery adhesive will work fine, while the vane is still in the jig against the shaft use a clean q tip that is dry and run it down each side of the vane this will remove the nasty looking excess. I use a new q tip on each vane. repeat process for remaining vanes on the arrow.
5. Do not allow the pvc cleaner to get on your wraps or nocks it will disolve them that is why you use denatured on the shaft
6. you now will tear the fletching off the base before it comes off the shaft the pvc cleaner etches the base of the vane and you will never have another problem with fletchings.
7. Any questions please feel free to ask
Hope this helps some of you it will definately build you strong great looking arrows
