Extreme Cold and Bow Function #archery

Hey guys,

going on a Musk ox hunt in march and expecting -20 and -30f weather. My bow will probably stay away from heat for a few days. I’m thinking not bringing it into camp might prevent condensation. Also thinking of bringing it down from 70 to 65lbs and tapping the handle on my BTX31. Any other tips for avoid malfunctions (mechanical parts, limbs, rest ect)? Cold weather advice and stories welcome

Have to finalize set up but it should look something like this:

Bowtech BTX31
27" dl @65lbs
Easton FMJ 5mm 340’s
100gr montec
Scott Release
Spott Hog 5 pin
Tightspot 5 arrow quiver
