Looking for a new hunting bow, most offerings today have a really short brace height (less than 7") compared to older (2010) bows. I see people raving about the Mathews Z7 extreme and it has a 7 3/8" brace height which makes me think that’s one of the reasons that makes it a great shooting bow (longer brace height). Are the manufactures now making shorter brace heights because they are really only concerned about IBO speeds, or is there another factor that is allowing them to use a shorter brace height while still maintaining the forgiveness?
